How do you keep active, with or without a dog? As many of you will be aware the main theme for the recent 2024 Mental Health Awareness week was 'Movement'. So it's particularly apt that the focus of Miss May's new 'Paws for Wellbeing' column is 'Be Active'! You'll find it on page 14 of the latest edition from Inside Publications Ltd https://lnkd.in/eaU7MKMg Those of us with dogs will know only too well the benefits to both our physical and mental health of dog walking, and interacting with dogs generally. But it's easy to take for granted just how valuable it can be for people of all ages. If you don't have a dog, there's lots of other ways to keep moving of course, but why not try out BorrowMyDoggy - there's a pooch somewhere waiting to hear the "walkies" word! Also, the The Cinnamon Trust does incredible work providing volunteers to support the elderly, or those who are terminally ill, to take care of their dogs or the pets, so reducing human sadness and animal suffering.
