What happens when you take a group of great people, place them into teams, and test their dexterity, physicality, & mental fitness? A HUGE amount of competitive spirit, that's what! Yesterday we had our summer offsite at the beautiful Schönwetter in Berlin - and oh oh oh, this team made it special. Malte Huffmann and Philipp Povel kicked off the afternoon before our special guest Stefan Jeschonnek came to share with us his own story building successful startups at a unique take of the fireside chat - the beach-side chat. After that, we headed into Mauerpark for the Mondu-lympics, where the teams took part in all kinds of sports activities, from sack races, to tug-of-war, and plenty in-between. We rounded off the day with food and drinks back at Schönwetter; celebrating our winners, and toasting this incredibly talented team 💜 Building a successful start-up is hard, hard work, but this team are in it to win it 💪☀

Building a Global community for Social Traveling | Founder, CEO - WanderOn | Workcations | Entrepreneur | Traveller | Storyteller
Our team has been growing more than ever, and to bring in new activities and ideas to bring everyone together, - Sometimes to spark competitiveness - sometimes to bring them together - and encourage them to come out of their comfort zone. We keep the culture alive and happening, WanderOn's culture stands for a bureaucracy-free culture with just good vibes and passionate people with a competitive spirit. And to spark that competitive spirit even further, we recently organized an Intra-team competition for the marketing team where we divided the team into 4-5 further teams. The brief: If WanderOn were to collaborate with "xyz" company/brand what would be the pitch? Each team was allocated a different brand. The results were phenomenal. That's what happens when you put passionate people in a healthy and fun environment and ask them to create something. The video below is the result of that. WanderOn is now open for cross-branding and brand collaborations, and we've been in talks with some of the biggest and coolest brands. That's what happens when you make your entire team a part of your goals. They feel inclusive and motivated to bring out their best. That's why I preach a culture of inclusivity, a fun and healthy environment free of politics, because that's what we practice at WanderOn, too. #Travel #team #culture #wanderon Wild Drum Beverages

Nothing to see here… just a normal family portrait 👨👩👧👦 A right Royal F**ckup you might say 👑 Don’t believe everything you see on the internet 🧐 The founder saying everything is great… The business claiming to be awesome… The company preaching their ‘amazing culture’… The business struggling to make payroll… The crazy deals gone wrong... The series of misfortunate events... Very few people are sharing these stories. That's why I am super excited to be launching Fuckup Nights Tees Valley and becoming part of the global F**ckupper network. Hosting events that share the realities and bumps in the road on the way to business success with a night of F**kups and fun. Our first event is on the 17th April at Flok Co-Working Space sponsored by Alt Labs with three awesome speakers confirmed Simon Bourne, Phil Teasdale and Callum Devine. 🎟 Link to tickets is in the comments, see you there #Fuckupnightsteesvalley #teesside #TeesValley Nobody (very few) are sharing the things that go wrong.

SaaStock delivered!!! Big time, Joran Hofman 👏👏👏 Just back from SaaStock in Utrecht and, wow, what a day! As someone who juggles multiple hats — startup life, family life, and everything in between — being selective about events is a must. Two incredible speakers brought two very different yet insightful stories to the stage: Bridget Harris, who’s out there hustling the bootstrapped way, and Patrick Meutzner 💬, who’s navigating the VC route like a Pro. And can we talk about the venue? Trengo's Bali floor was an absolute vibe — felt like I was networking in paradise 🏝️ Made some fantastic connections with fellow entrepreneurs who are also taking the hard road, grinding it out and building something real. But there was one slide that really hit me: "Who to Hire?" (Thanks, Steve Jobs, for the timeless wisdom and Bridget to bring this again). We all try to dodge the bullet of a bad hire, but let's face it, it happens. And when it does, it’s more than just a setback — it can disrupt your culture, your team, even your whole company. Fancy ATS systems aren’t enough; we need smarter, data-driven insights from day one. Let’s all get on the same page about who we're hiring — and how we’re hiring (building the solution to address this exact pain point) 🔥 And speaking of people, diversity was a hot topic. Honestly, these events could step it up a notch. We need more women in tech, full stop. One shoutout in particular: Estefania Hernandez. She’s been in this game longer than I have, and she's crushing it so far with Everday. SaaStock Dublin — you could seriously benefit from her being there. #SaaStock2024 #SaaStockLocal #RoadToDublin

In a landscape where Corporate Leagues primarily champion business promotion, the gates for creative individuals and startups can often feel too exclusive and expensive. We're rewriting that narrative. We firmly believe that every creative soul deserves a chance to shine, irrespective of financial constraints. That's why we introduced #Omwoleso at the monthly Corporate Leagues in the region, like the Mbarara Corporate League-a unique initiative designed to empower creatives and startups. Why? To provide them with an accessible platform to showcase their talents, maximize sales, and expand their networks. This year, the response was phenomenal. A total of 261 young creators from the region participated as exhibitors, reaching an average of over 10,000 walk-ins monthly. This isn't just about numbers; it's about breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for the next wave of creative leaders. Recognition as Motivation: We received an award, a validation of the impact #Omwoleso is making in bridging the gap between corporate platforms and the vibrant world of creativity. This award is not just that; it's a motivator, inspiring us to continue pushing boundaries and exploring more avenues for creative empowerment. As we celebrate this milestone, our commitment to empowering creatives remains unwavering. The award serves as a reminder that there's a hunger for inclusivity and a thriving creative community, and we're here to fuel that flame. Join the Movement: A movement that believes in breaking down barriers, creating opportunities, and empowering the creative spirit within us all.

CEO and Co-Founder of TicketManager. Tech Entrepreneur. Enterprise SaaS Executive. Live Events and Ticketing Expert with Multiple Exits
Three Things I Learned in SaaS, Sports, Tech, and Live Events: Wyc Grousbeck and his group are selling the Boston Celtics. I had an experience with Wyc years ago, which I learned a lot from. This week's Three Things: Three times someone powerful was overly gracious to me for no reason and what I learned from it. 1. "I’m a half hour late." In 2015, we ran a process to raise a Series B. Wyc’s company, Causeway Ventures, had invested in SeatGeek, so they called for a meeting in Boston. Knowing how valuable their time is, I planned to get to his office 30 min early My Uber driver took a wrong turn into the tunnel, and it was closed. Even though I was only 2 miles away, I was trapped. I couldn't get out and walk (it was a tunnel). I called and apologized, then arrived half an hour late. We spent two hours talking about the industry. I apologized at least a dozen times. What I remember from that meeting was how insistently gracious he was. He was totally understanding and sympathetic. I could see why people wanted to work with him. 2. "Take care of him. He’s one of us." I’ve written quite a bit about my AEG experiences. I left AEG in 2005 for StubHub. I was a low-level salesperson, insignificant. Honestly, none of the executives had any reason to know who I was or care. In 2010, a friend from the Cavs took a big-time job at AEG and moved to LA. We met for breakfast. He told me he’d mentioned to Tim Leiweke, the AEG head at the time, that we were meeting. Tim told him, " Help him out; he’s one of us.” He had no reason to even remember who I was. 3. We’re sitting where? One of our seed round investors, Jim Pallotta, was a part owner of the Celtics back in 2010. I met Jim during our roadshow at his offices at Rowe's Wharf. On one trip to Boston, we sent a note to Jim’s assistant that we’d never been to the TD Garden and if they had any tickets in the rafters, my co-founder and I would love to catch a game. When we got to will call, there were floor seats and super exclusive club passes. We were broke. We weren’t sniffing the floor anytime soon if not for Jim. But that’s how Jim treated us. Whenever in NY, he’d insist on us using his office. He always took care of us, and I wasn’t sure he even knew my name. Be gracious. Take care of your own. And share your blessings. That’s what Wyc, Tim, and Jim showed me. And I honestly believe that's a big part of their success.

At the heart of ROYC Group is our exceptional team, embodying the true essence of our company. Meet Magnus Hamilton, our talented Investor Services Officer at our Stockholm office. We sat down with Magnus to learn more about him: 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱. I come from southern Sweden and was raised in the countryside. After completing my studies in Business Administration and Economics at Lund University, I started working in different positions within the wealth management sector. In my last position at Formue Sverige, I developed a keen interest in the intersection of tech and wealth management, how innovative tools and platforms could make financial services more accessible, efficient, and personalized. This interest made the decision to join ROYC a no-brainer! 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗥𝗢𝗬𝗖? The dynamic environment with its constant drive for innovation and finding new solutions. But also the people, of course, being part of a passionate team from diverse backgrounds means that you’re constantly learning from others and approaching problems from multiple perspectives. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂? The opportunity to make an impact. I love tackling different challenges and coming up with solutions. Being surrounded by equally driven people who are passionate about what they do, and where everyone’s pushing towards the same goals, really inspires me and keeps me going. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸? My favorite ways to unwind are spending time in the kitchen, cooking up a nice meal. I find the process very relaxing, especially when having friends and family over for dinner. I also enjoy going out for a meal to enjoy good food, drinks, and company. During weekends, I try to spend time in nature by going hunting, mushroom picking, or just going for a walk. #InvestorServices #WealthManagement #PrivateMarkets #Employee

Cue the confetti, and - stuff it - pop the breakfast bubbles too, because we’re a whole handful of years old now! 🎊🍾 Although we’re yet to see our star on the Hollywood walk of fame, we’re still pretty blown away by where iterate is at. Once just an idea kicked around by Michael Boyd & Ryan Lynch in Melbourne’s pubs, this venture is now a thriving little melting pot of diverse global talent 🇦🇺🏴🇷🇺🇳🇿 (Also, coincidentally, the loudest table in the pub.) NGL, it’s been a wild 5-year ride. A spicy pandemic. The market throwing more shade than Kendrick and Drake combined. But we’ve built a village 🏘️💚 And, since you’re reading this far? You’re probably part of it. You might have trusted us to help you kick those career goals or grow your team. Maybe we talked shop at Programmable, YOW! Conferences, or a DesignOps LOL, SRE or Tech Leading Ladies meet-up. Whatever landed you here, we want to say thanks for being part of our story. Without you, we wouldn’t be as excited as we are for what’s ahead. 🙌🥳 So let’s keep this party rolling. More confetti. More bubbles. More game-changing collabs. And here’s to another 5 years. 🥂 #iterateturns5 #thankyou #teamiterate #milestone Kyla Boyd Tatiana Ashby Sam Bowring Stephanie Futerman Hannah Campbell Che Celledon
