50 years anniversary of Asean × Japan Since 1973, #ASEAN and #Japan have built a cooperative relationship for #peace and #development in the Asia-Pacific region with many of our people's efforts on the ground. In particular, our people-to-people exchanges have been the foundation for the strong partnership based on “heart-to-heart warmful understanding.” Dear comrades in Asean nations, lets keep trying to nurture and deepen our cooperative relationship in whatever fields each of us are. And, our friendship and partnership would never end with mutually beneficial efforts. https://lnkd.in/g-dSm6cy

Shri Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of Singapore, entered his office in a truly traditional way with Poikkal Kuthirai, a traditional art form from Tamil Nadu. It is a pleasing sight to see these cultural practices celebrated across the globe. However, in our own country, such events may come under criticism from opposing parties as an attack on secularism. Let's appreciate and embrace the diversity of our cultural heritage. What do you think??? Should you need to assess or develop your team members, please do let us know how we (www.assesspro.in) can help you. #assessments #assessmentcenter #lederashippipeline #managerialeffectiveness #leadershipdevelopment #assessmentanddevelopmentcenter #linkedin #assesspro #competencyframework #competencyassessment #hiring #highpotentials #promotions #pharma #pharmaceuticals #competency #macleods #sunpharma #cipla #glenmark #mankind #alkem #abbott #zydus #drreddys #glaxo #ipca #pfizer #micro #sanofi #usv #torrent #cadila #lupin #intas

🌟 Te Kāwai: Legends and Trailblazers 🌟 This week, we pay tribute to an extraordinary figure in Māori history, Apirana Turupa Ngata. Born around 1874, he held prominence as a statesman, an academic, a politician and a leader. 🌿 Apirana Ngata, a distinguished figure born circa 1874, stands as an emblem of Māori cultural revival and political acumen. His ascent to New Zealand’s Parliament in 1905 marked the beginning of an illustrious career dedicated to advancing Māori interests. Renowned for his eloquent oratory, Apirana played a pivotal role in crafting landmark legislation such as the Native Land Act and the Māori Land Development Scheme, fortifying Māori land rights and nurturing economic empowerment within his community. Apirana’s impact transcended politics. His literary contributions, notably “Ngā Mōteatea,” served as a bridge to the past, preserving tikanga and kōrero tuku iho for future generations. Ngata’s steadfast commitment to Māori cultural resurgence and social progress continues to inspire, leaving an indelible legacy that resonates far beyond his lifetime. Join us in celebrating this remarkable trailblazer who left an enormous mark on Māori history. Comment down below if you have any interesting facts we haven’t mentioned here. 🌺 #TeKāwai #LegendsAndTrailblazers #MāoriHistory #ApiranaNgata #MāoriExcellence #Leadership #NZHistory

After living 2 developed countries (Singapore and Japan) and 2 developing countries (Indonesia and Vietnam), I realized that 5Ss (Sort, Systematize, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) is the critical difference between them. Discipline is key to prosperity.

Cultural Capability Coach – I help culturally aware people, confidently move from competence to capability.
Am I racist if I say that? Is this a question you find yourself asking? People are scared of sounding racist and rightly so. If this is you , you are not alone. What is different about you to actual racists, is that you that you care what you say and you do not wish to harm others. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be asking yourself the question, "Am I racist if I say that?" Your fear makes you silent and considerate. But people like you should be contributing to making Aotearoa non-racist. So how do you get out of this place you find yourself in? You need to know more, learn more. You may need to unlearn and relearn. · First start with knowing Aotearoa, New Zealand history. · Know who you are. What is your identity? · Understand privilege and colonialism. · Learn about te ao Māori, the Māori world. This will help you to learn respectfully about other cultures too. · Find safe people to talk to, a person who you can ask, “is it racist if I think this?” It won’t be easy. It took a long time to get into this place and you need to do the work to get out. Every step is worth it. Follow me if you want to start this learning. #cultural capability #cultural competence #cultural intelligence #antiracism Kia ora, I’m Lisa Heald. I help you to ‘cross the chasm’, turning cultural competence into capability. Walk with me to inspire and enable others to build strong cultures that respect our peoples.

Not sure about how to be a great treaty partner? It’s important to you but you are not sure if you have done enough or know enough to be Tangata Tiriti, people of the treaty? Honouring te Tiriti, what does that even mean? Tangata Tiriti are non- Māori peoples who honour our Tiriti. A mistake some people make is thinking that by saying you honour te Tiriti, is enough. It’s not. You need to realise that TRUST is involved when saying these words, and your actions need to express that you can be trusted by Māori. Being Tangata Tiriti is about being committed to learn about: Te Tiriti o Waitangi Colonisation and Privilege Your identity as Pākehā Te Ao Māori, the Māori world When you have an awareness of all the above and stand strong in your Pākehā culture, and believe in Tino Rangatiratanga – Mana Motuhake, then you will be Tangata Tiriti. You don’t need to do all the learning at once. You just need to start the journey or move further along the path. We are in this together. Let those further along support you. Follow me Kia ora, I’m Lisa Heald. I help you to ‘cross the chasm’, turning cultural competence into capability. Walk with me to inspire and enable others to build strong cultures that respect our peoples. #cultural capability #cultural competence #cultural intelligence #leadership
