*NEW BLOG* Part II ”Stewarding a Giving Relationship: A Spectrum of Possibility co-written by Cultural Organizer Monét Noelle Marshall and Donor Organizer Hilary Pollan. Hilary and I are back with Part II of “Stewarding a Giving Relationship: A Spectrum of Possibility” exploring the Spectrum of Resources in a relationship between Cultural Organizer and a Donor. To explore this spectrum, both people may ask questions like: How much money will I give/ask for? How will the money be moved? How will the resource ‘ask” evolve and/or change over time? What other resources can be shared in the giving relationship? Learn more about how we navigate these questions: https://lnkd.in/e_Cbhek9 AND it’s not too late to join us on Tuesday, April 16th from 6:30 - 8PM for our Donor Briefing “An Exploration of Southern Black Organizing” (RSVP at bit.ly/scbo). So, if you wonder why Amber and I are pushing so hard to help Ruling Our eXperiences, Inc. (ROX) grow, please read the text I received last night from a mother with a 10-year-old daughter. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Jeff, it's Bev. I wanted to share a precious conversation between Reagan and her friend Ally. They were on FaceTime and Ally said they had ROX at her school on Friday (Ally goes to a different elementary school). Reagan asked her what it was. Hearing Ally explain that they learned about how girls can be confident, and then hearing Reagan say "that is important". It made me smile. I asked Ally what she thought of the things they learned, and of course she said "it was good". Standard kiddo response. So I asked her what she learned, and she said "girls can be leaders". I love that. Thank you for being a part of an organization that is teaching girls how to empower themselves. It's amazing what you and ROX are doing! ------------------------------------------------------------------- It's not me Bev, it's Amber using her story to work through me to help other young girls avoid the on-ramp to the highway of pain she traveled. If you want to help, consider being one of Amber's ACES of Hearts. If you are a company looking for cause to support, please consider being a corporate sponsor for Amber's ACES of Hearts initiative.
