International Friendship Day 💙 During the International Day of Friendship, the United Nations encourages community groups, organizations, and governments to hold events that promote reconciliation, mutual understanding, and solidarity. At Pragmatic, we believe in the power of friendship, especially the ones we have forged in our industries through the decades. Today, on International Day of Friendship, we celebrate the incredible role that friendship plays across all cultures and professions. The Importance of Friendship Friendship is a powerful force that transcends borders and cultures, bringing people together and fostering a sense of community. It also plays a vital role in our wellbeing: 1. Enhances Emotional Resilience: Sharing good times with people you love and having a network of friends to help you through the bad times makes navigating life's ups and downs easier. 2. Boosts Brainpower: Did you know that hanging out with friends can make you smarter? The University of Michigan found that social interactions, even just for ten minutes, can enhance your problem-solving abilities and overall brainpower. 3. Improves Sleep Quality: Those with strong social connections are less likely to be restless at night, leading to more restful and rejuvenating sleep. 4. Promotes Better Health: Friendships can encourage healthier lifestyles, providing motivation and support to make positive choices. Building Friendships That Last 🏗️ Over the years, we've had the privilege of forming lasting friendships with many of our clients and partners. These relationships go beyond business; they are built on mutual respect, understanding, and a shared commitment to excellence. LIFE LESSONS FROM MAKAR SANKRANTI! Makar Sankranti isn’t just a festival, it’s a reminder of life’s important lessons. From the flight of kites to the warmth of til-gud, this festival teaches us valuable lessons about growth, resilience, and teamwork. 1️⃣ Teamwork Like Kite Flying – Just like flying a kite requires collaboration, success in life and business comes when we work together seamlessly. 2️⃣ Celebrate Highs, Learn From Lows – Every fall of the kite teaches us how to rise stronger. Every setback is an opportunity for growth. 3️⃣ Flow with Change – A kite adjusts to the wind, and so should we. Adaptability and moving forward is key to overcoming challenges. 4️⃣ Spread Sweetness – Til-gud reminds us to build positive relationships and spread kindness. Together, we rise. 5️⃣ Soar High Like a Kite – Dream big, embrace challenges, and stay connected to your values. Even after 5 solo trips, I still need the courage to visit places alone. Surprising isn’t it? Recently I wanted to visit one of the parks And because plans got canceled at the last minute I decided to take myself out on a solo date. Even when I was getting ready, I still felt that I was coming out of my comfort zone. I then realized this, You don’t come out of your comfort zone the day you decide to do it And everything is okay after that. Coming out of the comfort zone is a process. You do it continuously until that unknown feeling of discomfort Makes you feel comfortable. You want to do it continuously because it gives you: ✓ Courage ✓ Confidence ✓ Community That’s what coming out of the comfort zone feels like. So what can you do if you want to go out: That’s how you come out of your comfort zone. Check the carousel below. P.S. This framework can be called a foot-in-the-door technique. Start slow so, you can do something big later.

In relationships, it's not necessary to share all the same interests, but discovering activities that both partners enjoy can strengthen your bond. Embrace each other's hobbies and passions, and explore new experiences together. Whether it's trying out a new hobby, going on adventures, or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home, sharing activities fosters connection and creates lasting memories. It's about finding common ground and enjoying each other's company in the things you both love. #SharedInterests #BondingActivities #QualityTimeTogether #RelationshipEnrichment #365DaysLoveChallenge #OlaaduraMichael

I set fire to my desires... La Revetlla de Sant Joan (Catalán) or La Fiesta de San Juan (Spanish) or ‘The party of Saint John) is a wonderful, (if loud) celebration of the Summer Solstice - the longest day (shortest night) of the year - and one of the biggest celebrations of the year in Spain (even bigger than New Year’s Eve!) Although there are less bonfires than in the past, the theme of ‘fire’ is still present and the streets and beaches of Barcelona are alight with fires, fireworks and firecrackers It’s a festival of rebellion and burning of the ‘old’ (winter) to usher in the summer It’s still possible in some neighbourhoods to see big bonfires, and people of all ages throwing out something old - furniture, books, papers or whatever is no longer needed This year I chose to throw out what I no longer need emotionally and the beliefs that are no longer serving me - the things that are holding me back from my growth and movement forward. In any relationship - whether it’s with yourself or in your relationship, change and growth is always necessary to keep it healthy and alive And it ALWAYS requires letting go of something - an opinion, an attitude, a belief, an emotional state - to allow for something new 🧨It’s hard for love to show up when there’s resentment that you’re hanging onto 🧨It’s challenging for desire and intimacy to exist when you cling to judgement and grudges 🧨It’s almost impossible to experience safety when you are being untrustworthy, unreliable or dishonest in anyway (including holding back on sharing what’s important) or you are criticising constantly 🔥What do you need to let go of in yourself or your relationship or what are you willing to let go of, in order to have something else? For example, you can’t always demand you are right AND be happy 🔥What do you want to create going forward? 🔥What will you claim for yourself? Let me know in the comments to make it real for you... #claim #relationships #coaching #outwiththeoldandinwiththenew #newbeginnings #create #growth

On International Friendship Day, it’s good to take time out to reflect on the importance of friendship and the value of connecting with others. This follows on from my post last month on World Wellbeing Day when I shared my late father’s sentiments on the power of connection. As I highlighted, 'connecting with others' is one of the Wellbeing Goals and friendships go hand-in-hand with wellbeing. Friends, can be there for the mountain top experiences (as my picture shows) as well as in the valleys, when life can be tough. So here’s to the power of friendship – old and new, near or far - as we celebrate International Friendship Day. #InternationalFriendshipDay
