US business promotes refillable products In Durham, North Carolina, a local business is addressing climate change by providing an alternative to plastic containers used for household products such as soap and cleaners. Filaree offers natural soap, shampoo, and cleaners in refillable glass bottles, promoting reuse and reducing plastic waste. With a weekly production exceeding 350 gallons of natural soap, Fillaree products are available in various retailers and can be purchased online for bulk refills. Customers have three convenient options for refilling: locating one of over 70 refill stations across the United States, visiting the storefront in Durham, NC, or enjoying home refills with 0.5-gallon (2.27 litre) boxes available for subscription. The initiative has so far prevented 300,000 plastic bottles from reaching landfills in the past year, contributing to sustainability efforts in the local community.
