I noticed this report of the recent acquisition of Direct Sameday Services in Nottingham by Westland Assets. Congratulations to both teams involved. https://lnkd.in/efrd2bUz What is particularly interesting within the report is the praise from David Whitefoot of Westland Assets. “Of all the ones I have seen in the past two years, this is the best documented and most well-run business I have seen in a long time,” This really demonstrates the value that can be added to a transaction by embedding a culture into your SME courier or logistics business that includes completion of simple but resilient standard processes and keeping data . Having been involved in multiple acquisitions during my executive career, I am a great supporter of ensuring that your business is "match fit" both to deliver ongoing profitable growth in a business as usual environment, and also before commencing a sale or buy-out journey. As a consultant I specialise in streamlining sales and customer processes and implementing scalable solutions to enhance performance and reduce costs. Key Outcomes: 💷 Reduce customer management operational costs through process redesign and efficiency improvements. 🚀 Drive successful change management programs, ensuring team alignment and performance. 📈 Integrate and ensure business value gain and ROI from CRM technology solutions like Salesforce or Hubspot to improve service delivery and operational transparency. I can help you to review your business and implement quick, high value (but not necessarily high cost) changes that will make an instant impact. Message me to arrange a confidential chat.

As we leave 2024 behind, and while I don’t yet have all the final numbers or the annual report, I wanted to reflect on the past year and share thoughts on 2025. This past year brought a mix of achievements, challenges, and transformations. We expanded and renovated our office space, creating a productive environment for the Transveg Team. Alongside welcoming two fantastic new team members who brought fresh skills, our core team remained stable, underscoring our dedication to fostering a supportive workplace. On the business front, we expanded beyond the EU into promising markets like Turkey and Serbia, opening new doors and opportunities. One notable milestone was securing a long-term partnership with a trusted subcontractor. By integrating their trucks into our operations, we increased capacity and achieved mutual cost efficiencies. On the asset side, we fully transitioned to DAF cab units, which offer unmatched value with their long-lasting reliability and minimal downtime. We also invested in bi-temp Schmitz trailers, ensuring our fleet consists of two-compartment trailers, enhancing flexibility to meet customer needs. Additionally, we were certified by IFS as in previous years and achieved the QS Certificate for the first time. This certification underscores our commitment to maintaining the highest standards in operations. We’re proud that many long-standing clients and contractors continued working with us in 2024. This sustained collaboration reflects trust and our commitment to consistent value and reliable service. Thanks to these partnerships and our team, we moved 20% more loads this year. Although challenging market conditions led to lower profit margins, we’ve laid strong foundations for 2025. Our goals for 2025 are ambitious yet focused: -Grow the business by 20%. -Expand our operations team to support brokers. -Strengthen cross-docking and launch a temperature-controlled warehouse project. -Elevate our Spanish department. By identifying the strengths of each team member and aligning them with roles that best fit their unique talents, we’ll drive growth for both our team and the company. Thank you to our employees, partners, and clients for your trust and dedication. Your support has been pivotal, and I look forward to building on this strong foundation together in 2025. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to connect or collaborate, I’d love to hear from you.
