Recently participated in an incredible hackathon organized by NTT DATA Business Solutions at the World Conference Center Bonn! 🎉 We tackled the "AI for less food wastage" challenge, posed by SICK Sensor Intelligence, with our proposal – EcoTribe – an agentic framework that mimics human-like decision-making to detect fruit freshness. Although our prototype didn’t include all proposed sensors like hyperspectral imaging due to availability constraints, it was exciting to develop the initial concept in less than 24 hours. Key highlights [Demo link in the comments]: - AI-driven, human-like decision-making for assessing fruit freshness - Real-time insights for wholesalers and retailers - Explainable AI components for transparent decision-making Huge thanks to my teammates Furkan Simsek, Chintan Vekariya, Ekaansh Khosla, mentors, and the event organizers. Adding an 8th truth: Take an employee-centric approach to drive adoption — Similar to how best consumer experiences are born, taking an employee-centric approach to how Gen AI tools are defined, built, launched, and iterated upon will yield much higher adoption rates. This means bringing end user employees along on the end to end product development lifecycle — from use case definition through testing and piloting. This will ensure that the new tools actually serve up the right information at the right time AND integrate smoothly into their workflow, successfully delivering on Gen AI's promise to improve employee productivity and experience.
