Did You Know – Top Ten Reasons a Dealer is not a Theatre Consultant - By Paul Sanow Sometimes there is confusion in the marketplace about the roles of theatre consultants and dealers. Some owners or architects elect to work with a dealer, thinking they will receive the same level of service as they would from a dedicated theatre consultant, and possibly for free. Theatre consultants and dealers may each be considered “theatre experts”, but they have very different roles and agendas in the construction process. READ THE ARTICLE: https://lnkd.in/gV7y3AdX

🎭 Flexibility and quick changeover in theatre? No problem! Different occasions require different demands for seat layout. Look at how this clever system helps the venue be flexible. As in manufacturing, we should design our production lines with the same philosophy - flexible to customer demand with the possibility of quick change. #Flexibility #Theatre #SMED #Seat #Changeover

This (post ⬇️) shines a light on a really important aspect of the work of theatres…over 600 people came to Colwyn Bay today to watch the pantomime. The economic multiplier impacts (generated by theatre audiences, casts and technical teams) are huge. According to a SOLT / UK Theatre report in October: A recent study conducted on behalf of SOLT & UK Theatre suggests that the UK theatre sector generates £2.39bn GVA and supports 205,000 workers. This is made up of £1bn of direct turnover in the UK theatre sector, generating £1.3bn worth of turnover in the broader economy. #theatre

A full house at Theatr Colwyn today for Mother Goose, produced by Colwyn Bay’s very own Magic Light Productions. A brilliant show full of local references and humour, incredible costumes and - of course - the exceptional surroundings of the oldest working Theatre in Wales. Behind me there are more than 300 full seats, 300 pairs of feet coming to Colwyn Bay on a Saturday afternoon. So many towns have lost these assets over the last few decades. Times have never been tougher but it’s so important to remember the unique value this theatre brings both to the economy of The Bay and its distinctive identity. You can quite literally feel the magic of the place.
