Attention #SingleServeCapsules contacts! North America accounts for a third of the global capsules demand, most of it channelled through the k-cup platform. Compatible k-cup filling in North America exceeded 40% of the market in 2024 and has been the main contributor to growth. However, the scale of available contract filling capacity creates a cut-throat operating environment, leading to an urgent need for differentiation of positioning. The drive towards premiumisation has surfaced innovation with using both compostable solutions and deep-drawn Aluminium. In parallel, Nespresso style brewers’ share in the region is growing, but the demand is largely supplied through imports. Developing a local Nespresso compatible filling base as well as empty capsule production provides an imminent growth platform for the market operators. Our next Single Serve Capsules conference will take place in Tampa, Florida, 18-19 March 2025, and through all our efforts we are aiming to create a platform to help the capsules industry: - Understand strategic shifts in supply and demand - Identify risks and opportunities relating to systematic demand changes - Review new capsule solutions and align procurement strategies - Foster sustainability. Let me take you back in time a little. ⏳ 4 Years Ago Today: I had just met my soon-to-be best friend in the world Chris Waldrum and was getting ready to embark on the adventure of a lifetime scaling Inspired Nutraceuticals. Meanwhile, Konlan Paul was plotting and scheming his ascension from the exact sales floor that Chris and I had aimed our sites: The Vitamin Shoppe. Neither of us knew how.. But likely in some melodic cadence from across the universe, we both spoke the words: I WILL BE HERE- but with my own BRAND some day. It gives me chills to think about it.. Imagine standing at the bottom of a million rung ladder. You can see the steps closer to the top- but the rest are completely missing. As if to say: “If I can just get to the 100,000th step, I can make it there.” That was KJ. Chris and I hung tired and weary from the 500,000th step, noticing that the rest of the ladder to the top had suddenly disappeared. 2 Completely Different stories, unaware that when combined: that ladder finally takes shape. I noticed Konlan and #V1Nutra less than 1 year agp. I knew I was looking straight at the FUTURE. Without much thought, we hired Konlan and signed a deal for Exclusive Retail Distribution rights to V1. I knew this was the final piece. This was the synergy that we had searched for. FINALLY. After years and years of feeling so close to the precipice: We have made it. A National Stage. A REAL TEST. The fight that we have been so eager to be a part of. We are SO GRATEFUL to OUR TEAM. Please believe this: We have the best team in the industry and it’s the ONLY reason we have even COME CLOSE to making it here. We still have SO MANY HURDLES to overcome, but I look to my left and right and I just know. Like Chris and I did 4 years ago in Saint George.
