On this day in 1999! Today marks 25 years since I purchased the Washington Capitals. I'm so proud of all that we have accomplished in the last 25 years, an incredible run of sustained competitiveness and stability, including the 2018 Stanley Cup Championship. Here's to the next 25!
Luv it I was at game 3 first home game Stanley cup win and went to next two games viewing party outside Verizon center and parade and many playoff games in 2018. Best thing ever for caps is Mr Leonsis and The Great 8 OVI

Some of my favorite childhood memories were of my dad taking me to Caps games as a reward for good behavior or grades. Still love my Caps! Congratulations!

1moI played for the Washington Little & Junior Capitals program in high school in the thick of the early Ovi years (2006-2010) and cherish my experience as a DC hockey player. The local talent has never been better and the breadth of competition across the DMV area gets better every year. The Caps are without a shadow of a doubt the best franchise in the city and an argument could be made they are one of the best in the NHL and all of sports. All of that within the last 25 years.
