🫶🏽 How to fall in love with stuff you don't want to do:
Instead of saying: "I have to ___"
Say: "I get to ____"
Great example of this happened this morning. I started my Monday by paying a bunch of invoices. Blughhh, right?
This could easily slip into the realms of stress, frustration, and anxiety of the company bank balance going down instead of up 😅
Instead, I said:
"Wowza, I get to pay these talented folks for work they've knocked out of the park! How fortunate am I to have a circle that cares so much about this company? How fantastic that we have the cash to fund this. What a gift!"
And that was literally the energy I took into it. Feeling grateful and joyful in paying the invoices. Because it means we're growing. It means we're providing meaningful economic opportunities for folks around the globe.
Use this for anything! Work stuff. Going to the gym. Cleaning the cupboards.
You don't always get to choose what happens to you. But you *do get to choose how you respond to it*.
Respond by acknowledging the immense privilege of freedom, access, and resources you have, to GET to do the stuff you'd rather not.
KK, your turn!
➡️ What's something you're putting off / dreading / not jazzed about, that if you simply changed the sentence from "I have to... " to "I GET TO..." it'll become a 10x better experience?
PS: Big big energy coming from Generalist World this week, LET'S GO!!!! 🫶🏽
