Get to know our innovative Horse Face Recognition App 🐎 🎯 Challenge The project's goal was to create a comprehensive system for organizing equestrian events, simplifying the process for both event organizers and horse owners, including the face recognition of animals. The application needed to streamline various aspects of event management, from registration and scheduling to real-time notifications. Additionally, the system needed to be user-friendly and efficient, ensuring seamless communication and coordination between all stakeholders. 📲 Solution We developed a Flutter application for both Android and iOS, integrating a module for event organizers with a module for horse owners into a cohesive and unified platform. Simplicity and reliability were ensured through a machine learning-powered check-in process. Additionally, a web panel was included for event organizers, providing a comprehensive interface for handling registrations, scheduling, and real-time updates, thereby enhancing event management efficiency. The application also features social media login options, making it easier for users to access the system. ✅ Results We created a system that fully meets user needs, ensuring simplicity and reliability. The application includes both a subscription module and options for one-time payments. The system is utilized to organize large-scale events in the United States, effectively supporting organizers and participants. It's user-friendly interface and robust functionality, including social media login, have made it a popular choice for managing equestrian events and facilitating seamless organization and coordination. 📢 So today is the day we officially launch the Places and Trails app. Not sure what it's all about? Watch this 1 minute explainer https://lnkd.in/eC4SbdFJ When I first started planning this app the idea was that it would both a marketing tool and an experiment with in-app purchases: - Places and Trails features most of our app platform's rich core functionality so I can point potential customers to just this one app to see all of the things our platform can do - I'm really interested to see if people are willing to pay (even just a few pounds) for premium self-guided trails, particularly when the app comes with quite a few free ones. Is the subscription model a better approach? More recently I've also realised there is scope to offer local authorities, tour guides and other organisations/individuals the opportunity to host their trails on the app - whether that is by digitising an existing paper trail or growing a seed of an idea. Not every organisation can afford to have their own self-guided trails app which may be due to budget constraints/priorities, staff shortages, funding fatigue etc. Places and Trails will allow those - subject to editorial guidelines - to offer GPS-triggered self-guided trails AND benefit from the cross promotion. without having to worry about development or hosting fees.
