Museum of Pop Culture (MOPOP)’s Post

MOPOP is #hiring for the role of Copywriter, Marketing. MOPOP’s versatile writer will craft compelling copy for a variety of marketing needs, bringing the organization’s mission and personality to life through written language. As an integral member of the Marketing team, the Copywriter will produce and edit content for a range of channels and assets including: print/digital advertising and other marketing materials; review sites, brochures; annual reports; email newsletters; webpages; social media; the MoPOP blog; mobile applications; fundraising solicitations; internal communications, and more. The job may require drafting a social post on current pop culture events one minute, then pivoting to a factsheet on our education programs for donor stewardship the next. Of course, a good Copywriter does more than write words. They use words to inform, educate, and — most importantly — compel action. The ideal candidate will have experience using copy to attract interest and influence behavior, be it buying a ticket, making a donation, becoming a member, or signing up for a mailing list. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, at least 3-days onsite. Salary: 31.25 - 33.65 per hour Benefits: This regular full-time position includes Medical/Vision insurance, Dental insurance, Life/AD&D/LTD insurance, 3.08 hours of accrued Vacation per bi-weekly pay period, Seattle Sick/Safe, 2-7 Floating Holidays dependent on hire date, 8 Company Holidays paid throughout the year, EAP, 401k plan with vested match schedule once eligible, and subsidized transportation benefits for Orca Pass or parking.
