Art is part of Ringier's DNA. Art is part of nearly every office space at all Ringier locations in Switzerland - and thus part of the employees' everyday working lives. This is exactly what publisher and art collector Michael Ringier wants to achieve, and the employees seem to appreciate this very much - even outside their offices, as evidenced by the lively participation in an exclusive guided tour of the exhibition "Time - from Dürer to Bonvicini" (currently at the Kunsthaus Zürich) by curator Catherine Hug. The exhibition includes six works of art from the Ringier Collection. In the current issue of DOMO magazine, Michael Ringier says: "Art doesn't have to please. Art is not decoration, it is an idea. It has to be socially relevant. That is why Picasso's "Guernica" from 1937 is still relevant today. By bringing art into the office, we are asking people to do something, in other words, we are taking them seriously, and that is the most important thing for me. 👉 Link to the DOMO Magazine https://lnkd.in/e5tUfMK5 #art #exchange #ideas #change #leadership #action #collection Ringier AG

🤩 Nothing speaks better than real-life examples. Let's start a new series of posts demonstrating cases of finding new partners 🛋️ Today's story spotlights Woo, a Ukrainian furniture brand crafting designer pieces since 2015. Seeking to expand beyond their local market, Woo decided to venture into international territories. To start small, they began exporting soft furniture like chairs and poufs to minimize shipping risks. 🇺🇦🤝🇮🇹 A notable achievement was their participation in the Milan Furniture Fair, facilitated by Nazovni and the Embassy of Ukraine in Italy. Despite the fair's typically long waiting list, economic diplomats helped Woo and other Ukrainian furniture makers secure spots, leading to over 30 contracts signed with Italian clients! 🪑 According to Woo's CEO, Dmytro Slinkov, their success can be attributed to their participation in various international events. Design expos provided insights into European buying trends and put Woo in front of decision-makers. 👥 Currently, the company collaborates with 15 dealers across Europe, including France, Germany, Belgium, and Italy. As you can see, everything starts with small steps. Perhaps your story will also begin with one pouf, dress, or a package of dried fruits. Join us now and begin this journey: https://nazovni.online/en 💫

CEO at Facette Facial Bar. Over 15 years in Luxury Beauty, Wellness & Fashion. Founder, Marketing & Communications Expert.
As a founder deeply invested in redefining beauty norms, I find it fascinating to witness how perceptions of beauty evolve over time and across different cultures. The Wellcome Collection's exhibition, "The Cult of Beauty," delves into this complexity with remarkable nuance. What struck me most about this exhibition is its ability to shed light on the fluidity of beauty standards throughout history. It challenges the notion that beauty is static and universal, reminding us that it is shaped by various factors, from cultural influences to societal norms. By curating over 200 items, including commissioned films and consumer products, the Wellcome Collection offers a thought-provoking exploration of beauty ideals. Through thematic breakdowns and innovative exhibits, it prompts us to question and ultimately reject rigid beauty standards. I'm particularly impressed by the exhibition's commitment to accessibility, ensuring that everyone, regardless of ability, can engage with its rich content. From tactile paths for visually impaired visitors to BSL and audio tours, the Wellcome Collection sets a high standard for inclusive exhibition design. If you're in London, I highly recommend experiencing "The Cult of Beauty" at the Wellcome Collection before it ends on April 28, 2024. It's a powerful reminder that beauty is diverse, dynamic, and ultimately, deeply personal. Let's continue challenging the status quo and embracing the beauty of individuality.

As booth design professionals, we're always looking forward to the world's biggest exhibitions, but history shows that even the greatest events can face challenges.🌐 In October 1851, at the Great Exhibition held at Crystal Palace, a celebratory firework went wrong, igniting a fire. Quick action from London's fire brigade contained the blaze in two hours, saving the Palace and exhibits. This close call teaches us important lessons for any big event: ✔Plan for the unexpected: Even the coolest events can go wrong. ✔Work together: When everyone helps, even disasters can be tackled! ✔Learn from mistakes: The fire made the organizers build an even safer Crystal Palace later. So, next time you're at an exhibition event, remember the Crystal Palace fire. Be prepared, work together, and have fun!🤗

In 2023, the art of glassmaking was included in the Lists of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Now, the Federation of Crystal and Glass (Fédération du Cristal et du Verre) has decided to pay tribute to this extraordinary material in a dedicated exhibition: "Les gestes verriers”. This show will take place from 21st September 2024 to 19th January 2025 along the railings of the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris, offering visitors the chance to discover the beauty of glass, the craftsmanship involved in its creation, and a great deal more. There will be 80 photographs on display, coming from 33 workshops throughout France, including those of Zignago Vetro. For us, it is a source of immense pride to be able to show - through these images – the importance and magical mystique of the material we work with every day. #ZignagoVetro #glassproduction #glassindustry #innovation #circulareconomy #jardinduluxembourg
