Helping B2B Service Providers Stand Out Through Story | Co-Founder and Managing Director at Ratcliffe Brothers |

Every day companies say: “It’s hard to get people to apply for our jobs” Yet yesterday, our little company had 109 applicants in 6 hours. Here’s how we did it ⤵️ Over the last 2 years I’ve been telling stories online: > Allowing people to see into my life. > Allowing people to see into our business. > Allowing people to see exactly what we do. And here’s another key… I’ve encouraged and helped our team to do the same ✅ We help our team grow their individual brands. We encourage them to have fun and be themselves. We support them with growth and sharing their story. But why bother with any of this? Well it’s simple, now future employees: Know the type of clients they’ll get to work with. Know and understand the role before applying. Know their colleagues and who they really are. Know and understand our company culture. Know exactly what we do and how we do it. Know the people they work for intimately. Know the vision we have for the future. Know and trust us to treat them well. Know their bosses from the start. Know the company’s mission. Know our story. They’re comfortable and excited to want to join a business that they’ve had the opportunity to follow. Real people. Real stories. Real culture. (Not just the one you put in a pamphlet you outsourced 🤦♂️) People talk about the countless benefits of storytelling: > More revenue. > More opportunities. > An audience to speak to. But attracting great staff has to be the one thing I love the most. So, want to have your job applications flooded with great talent? → Share your story online. All of those responsibilities, and everything that you're asking for in a person, and you're paying a few pence per hour more than minimum wage? Can't imagine many of those 173 applicants (at current count) are "chomping at the bit".

The question is how many applications are you going to allow to come through? 😂 Who is shifting through them? 😂 *Says a recruiter who shifted through 1,000s of CVs since summer but luckily I now have some help with that 😂
