WHAT DOES IT SAY ABOUT THE WELD INDUSTRY WHEN FOR 50 PLUS YEARS IT HAS NOT BEEN USING THE CORRECT GMA WELD WIRE WITH THE WORLDS MOST UTILIZED ARC WELD PROCESS? WITH THIS POST YOU COULD ALSO SAY. LEFT WELD. THIS WELD IS MADE WITH THE MOST COMMON GMA 70S-6 WIRE UTILIZED IN N. AMERICA AND EUROPE. YET THIS WIRE WAS DEVELOPED FOR USE WITH HIGH OXIDIZING CO2. IN CONTRAST RIGHT PHOTO. THIS WOULD BE A TYPICAL WELD APPEARENCE FROM WHAT USED TO BE A LOWER COST 70S-3 GMA WIRE, A WIRE DEVELOPED OVER 50 YEARS AGO FOR USE WITH FOR ARGON MIXES. AND YET THE REALITY IS THE S3 WIRE IS NOW RARELY USED THANKS TO A COMBINATION OF GLOBAL GMA WELD ENGINEERING AND MGT. WELD PROCESS IGNORANCE AND FROM MARKETING, MANIPULATING & MISLEADING GMA WIRE MISINFORMATION ESPECIALLY FROM THE US MAJOR GMA WIRE MANUFACTURERS IN THEIR BID TO CONTROL THEIR MARKET SHARE AND PRICES. Any wire mfg. can provide a 70S-6 wire with it's silicon / manganese at its lowest level, and when used with argon mixes you will see cleaner welds. Then again for decades if you understood the GMA process you could also have used what was once the lower cost 70S-3 wire which when used with any argon mixes will guarantee you the cleanest GMA welds. By the way the mechanical properties are similar with both wires when used with the weld gas they were intended for.
See the difference? Left: Welded with standard ER 70S-6. Right: Welded with CEWELD® Ultra Clean III. Cleaner welds, less hassle. https://lnkd.in/dt8keds6 #Certilas #CEWELD #UltraCleanIII #ecofriendly #copperfree #copperless #pipewelding #welding #FillerMetalSpecialist

T-Clean Action (S-5) (Pickling Liquid Form) T-clean Action S-5 can remove weld oxide scale, and discolor shade for a uniform surface inside. This is typically used to clean complex objects, specifically the without welded stainless steel sheet. www.tclean.in #pickling #passivation #stainlesssteel #fabrication #pipelines #welding

Flash in FSW: Defect or Not? 🤔 At STIRWELD, our mission is to democratize the innovative technique of #FrictionStirWelding (FSW). In our latest video, Ornella dives into the topic: "What is flash in Friction Stir Welding?" 🔎 Flash in FSW refers to the excess material that is expelled from the joint line during the welding process. This happens as the rotating tool generates heat through friction, softening the material and creating a solid-state bond between the parts. While some flash can be easily removed with post-welding milling, in high-precision applications, flash could be seen as a defect, necessitating process adjustments to eliminate it. What flash management techniques do you use? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences! #FSW #manufacturing #aluminum
