Recently, we support our customer manufacture a titanium alloy spacecraft propellant tank with arc-shaped thin-walled structures and high flatness requirements (0.02mm). Deformation control  is the key point to reach the flatness requirement. As the picture shows, the final propellant tank looks great. To ensure customer specifications for surface profile and flatness were met, WayKen’s inspection department carried out a careful inspection with CMM. The inspection report showed that the tank fully complies with the required surface profile and flatness requirements. #wayken

𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝟲 With the successful launch of Europe’s new rocket, the Ariane 6, in July, we are proud to share how our custom screw jack solutions have supported the construction process these last few years. On behalf of the European Space Agency, we worked with Jewers Doors to actuate the 70m high doors on the Ariane 6 Mobile Gantry in French Guiana. The gantry, which moves along rails, provides access to the launch vehicle and protects it until just before launch. The main challenges include managing loadings, including door weight and wind loads, which require the jacks to handle varying compression and tension forces.
