All software engineers love open-source(for any reason which i will not doubt - i'm a fan too). But please please (please) make sure that you as a tech leader integrate business and strategy value to your open search initiatives. Believe me - It will increase your chances for success. Here’s a real story to show you what I mean. Once, my old boss announced we were going open source. Surrounded by the hype about it, the engineering team got excited. Hence, we would occasionally publish some code online. What happened next? Nothing. We didn't get any responses or feedback. But then the boss changed tactics. A few engineers teamed up with the marketing crew to write articles about open source, showing off our code snippets. That actually worked; the community noticed the content! The company was seen as more technologically advanced and succeeded in hiring new professionals. I love it when a company gets why open source can be beneficial for them. Open source isn’t just for show. It's about making smart moves that help businesses grow. #opensource #GR8Tech #igaming #sportsbook #igamingplatform #iGamingSoftware

I’ve launched a private TG community of Web3 founders. Why? Myself being a member of 1000+ Telegram groups and channels, I mostly see noise, spam, and unsolicited shilling. Chats are filled with agency reps hungry for clients and devs looking for jobs. I felt like there is a missing spot specifically for founders, where they could have a special space for each other without being commercially focused. So I created this group. NO VCs, EXECS, OR BDs are allowed there. New members are subject to approval. The goal for the community is to have founder-level conversations, give each other feedback, share alpha, help fellow founders, and have a good time. For now, I've been only adding friends and people I know personally so the chat is highly vetted. ** 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝟯 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿? ** 👇 Leave a comment to this post and send me a DM with a brief summary of what you do to get an invite link.

Meeting a lot of aspiring developers here at GameIS conference. Something that stands out in conversation is how often rejections come with no feedback. I’ve been there, and I get it: as a hiring manager, interviews and summaries take up a lot of our time as is, writing more? That’s not just a huge effort, it might also be a liability! So why should you, as a hiring manager take the extra time to write solid feedback for a candidate? 1. This is your brand. How you handle candidates affects what kind of candidates you get. Nothing is more powerful than word of mouth, and candidates who leave with a good experience, regardless of outcome, will talk about it. 2. This is your job. You’re a hiring manager, or a senior in your role. Practicing feedback will make you better at your job, like any skill. 3. It will make you better at hiring. A careful analysis of candidate errors will help you identify and refine your recruiting process. Notice a lot of repeating mistakes? Maybe your instructions are unclear. Maybe you’re not emphasizing the requirements? You don’t want to miss a good junior candidate because of YOUR oversight, right? 4. You were there once. You know how hard it already is. Have some empathy - and you never know, your input might mean you see this candidate again next time when they’re a better fit for your company!
