For whatever reason, I was feeling a bit bummed out yesterday. I was revived when I had multiple interactions with people that I had previously partnered with in their job search. 👏I came across a LinkedIn post from someone I had placed last year celebrating their 1st anniversary. They remarked on how good the move has been for them! Nothing makes me happier! 👏There have been multiple promotion announcements from prior hires I made in my corporate days...I still remember working with these individuals years ago, and it makes me so happy to see how they continue to grow with the company. 👏I got a chance to connect with two people that I had previously placed at a company and am now helping them with some open roles. I can hear the excitement in their voices as they talk about the changes and impacts they've made with the company. So inspiring! As a recruiter, I honestly remember every name of an individual that I have placed (I'm connected with many of you!) and take great pride in seeing them happy and successful. Recruiting truly can be a tough world to be in, but it is so rewarding when it clicks. I'm ready for 2024; I can't wait to see who I get to work with this year! #executivesearch #talentacquisition #recruitingthoughts #recruiting

Happy Monday, y'all! I hope everyone had an enjoyable & restful weekend. 💖 If you have ever worked with me as a candidate, you know that EVERY STEP of the way I tell you to Celebrate Yourself!!! We frequently get caught up in whatever we have going - which makes it Really easy to forget to celebrate the wins as they come in... So, I've decided to take my own advice & CELEBRATE MYSELF, because last week marked ONE incredible year at, Work With Your Handz! 🥳💖🥳 To my fellow recruiters out there, I think we can all agree these last couple of years have been TOUGH. Navigating challenges, adapting to changes, and pushing through uncertain times - it hasn't been easy. 😮💨 Like I said - sometimes it’s easy to forget to acknowledge our own achievements, but it’s so important to be your own biggest cheerleader! Every small step forward, every candidate placed, every partnership built - those are all reasons to celebrate!!! 🎉 Remember, motivation doesn’t always come from outside... It comes from within - knowing that you’ve worked hard and that you are capable of so much more. 💪🏆 Whether it’s the start of your journey or you’ve been at it for years - take a moment to celebrate YOU and all that you’ve accomplished!! 💞 Here’s to another year of learning, growing, and thriving! 🚀✨ #RedheadRecruiter #MotivationMonday #WorkWithYourHandz #SkilledTradesRecruiter #TalentAcquisition #StrategicPartner #CareerCoach #CareerCoaching #CareerGrowth #SkilledTradesJobs #ServiceManagerJobs #PlumberJobs #HVACJobs #ElectricianJobs #ImHiring #WereHiring #JobSeekerSupport #ChaseHappiness #CelebrateYourWins #OneYearStrong #Workiversary #RecruiterLife #BeYourOwnCheerleader #PositivityCheerleader

Principal Recruitment Consultant, For-Purpose | IT, Finance, Research, Social Impact and more | Purposeful Recruitment (with a personality!)
So my 5 year anniversary at Beaumont People has recently come and gone, and to be honest as someone who was questioning my career choices in the first few months (“Just get to one year!,” was my mantra which was rinsed and repeated A LOT), I love that I can say I’m now years into this gig and still loving it! 5 things I love about recruitment to celebrate my 5 years: 💛It keeps you humble! Recruitment is so simple on the face of it, but so incredibly complex, changeable, and challenging at the same time! I am constantly learning and yes - making mistakes all the time, and it still feels fresh even after recruiting the same role types for the same sector for years. 💛Meeting people! The connections and memories I’ve made with candidates, clients, and colleagues have been life changing. No more needs to be said there, really. 💛It gives you a growth mindset! Whether it’s dealing with your first offer rejected, or fall off, or one of the many other curly situations that crop up – there’s no better role to teach you resilience, grit, and how to manage a tough conversation. 💛The opportunity to challenge yourself are endless! If 2019 Dee was told that in 2024 she’d be (in addition to her day job) presenting Recruitment and Selection workshops to 20 professionals in the sector, and LOVING it – she’d be rolling on the floor laughing. 💛Your sense of humour gets a workout! If we don’t laugh we cry, so the banter is always off the charts 😃 Pictured is me with my friendship fern (work equivalent) – Rhonda Newman gave me this little guy during my first couple of months on the job and look at us now! Image description: Diana is wearing glasses, wearing a maroon sweater and sitting in front of a large fern in front of her living room window – she doesn’t know what kind of fern it is, but it is large, and green!

Strategic Account Manager | 🔮 Specialist in Senior Leadership Searches 🔮 | Transportation, Logistics & Supply Chain Expert 🚚 | New Mommy👩🍼 | Reach out if you're in search of skilled individuals 👓
What company value resonates with you the most? 🤔 At CS Recruiting we live by our values & try to embody them daily. These values aren't just words on paper; they guide our actions, decisions, and culture. Each one motivates us to push boundaries, overcome challenges, and collectively contribute to the overall success of our team and clients. Recently, our team had the incredible opportunity to volunteer as part of our "Making a Difference" initiative. This reminded us how important it is to give back and support our community, and it truly highlighted the power of collaboration. Later this month, we’ll come together for our quarterly "Connect & Share," an event that allows us to celebrate wins, reflect on challenges, and strengthen our bonds as a team. Moments like this are a true reflection of how our values drive both individual and collective success. The value I resonate the most with is "Win Together." For me, this value captures collaboration and unity. It’s not just about achieving personal goals, but about lifting each other up, celebrating team wins, and knowing that our shared efforts are what fuel the company’s growth. I’d love to hear from you! What are your company values and which one resonates most with you? #values #wintogether #resonate

Director-level executive with experience in Product Strategy / Business Development / Project Management | Passionate about innovation in Biotech / Techbio / Immuno-Oncology / Cell & Gene Therapy
After I left academia, it took me a while to part with my identity of an academic scientist. In industry, we also tie our identities closely with our job titles. We are proud of our promotions. We introduce ourselves by talking about our titles, and the work we do and had done. And yet, sometimes perhaps we feel slightly misaligned with our job titles and responsibilities. At other times, and this may be more prevalent for women – perhaps we do not receive the credit and recognition due for the things we accomplished. Or we build something only to have it transitioned to someone else and start, seemingly, from scratch again. These are some feelings I have encountered on my path, and now as I watch the waves of layoffs roll around me, touching people closer and closer to me, I cannot help but wonder, whether it is healthy to tie our identities so closely with our jobs and companies. It is not necessarily an issue to do so, and to leverage our jobs to grow our professional profiles, as long as in parallel we invest in our own ways of building our brand, building external credibility, building a network of people who know us, not only for what we do in our current job, but for the overall value and passion and diversity of skills we bring to the table. All along with reflecting on our values and recognizing what we would like to contribute to the world in our limited time here. Does that sound like a second shift “job”? Well, it probably is. But I feel, and hope, that when a time comes when we are severed from whatever it was we identified as in our day jobs, that pre-built independent identity will be what persists, helping us feel grounded and whole. And build on from there. As further food for thought, here’s an article from HBR on why we should have two careers: https://lnkd.in/gNXDyz4M Another one on why we should NOT tie our identities wholly to our jobs: https://lnkd.in/gQu_UNeq And one regarding reflecting on our values and our lives: https://lnkd.in/gD7nj_FV Happy Friday! #WomenInWorkplace #DEI #HappyFriday #OpportunityAccess

Two-thirds of Gen Z believe ‘job-hopping’ is vital for their career growth. ➡️ this is an interesting statistic to see as it is something we notice shifting in the market. We see plenty of CVs where candidates move every 1-2 years and this in turn doesn't do them any favour when applying for new roles. ❓do we think we should be encouraging more senior generations to embrace these candidates with career moves, or should we be encouraging longevity in roles? #motivation #leadership #GenZ #careers #careeradvice

Yesterday was my 5-year anniversary at IGEN! 🎉 So I figured this week was the perfect time to tell my story: I was at my first "real" job—a place full of down-to-earth, fun, and kind people. Some of the relationships I built there are still strong. In fact, one of those colleagues has become an amazing friend, and I'm even the godmother to her son! After about 18 months there, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. Around that time, I had the opportunity to interview for a role with U.S. Venture, Inc. that ultimately didn't materialize, but the experience gave me the drive to be open with my leader about my career aspirations and the professional development opportunities I was looking for. Things like: ⚙ Autonomy in my role ⚡ Capacity to influence marketing strategy 🏠 Flexibility in my work environment 💡 Opportunities to expand my horizons One day, while sitting at a rooftop bar in downtown Green Bay (Titletown Brewing for anyone who knows the area), I pointed to the industrial office building next door and said to my husband (who was probably tired of listening to me talk about work), "It would be so cool if I worked somewhere like that one day!" Less than a year later, I was working at IGEN (a division of U.S. Venture) as a marketing specialist. The office was in that exact industrial office building, in downtown Green Bay. When IGEN had posted that specialist role, I decided to throw my hat in the ring and had just clicked 'submit' on my application, when an email from the recruiter came in, inviting me to apply! Turns out the team remembered me from that opportunity months before; I guess it was just one of those moments when all the stars align! ✨ Over the last five years, I've had the opportunity to see my vision come to life, make mistakes, become a leader, build a marketing engine from the ground up, make more mistakes, drive change, and so much more. It's been challenging, fulfilling, and most importantly, never boring. A heartfelt thank you to Kayla Hill for recruiting me, Mercedes Bereza for interviewing me, Ryan Padget and Nick M. for supporting my journey, and Nicole Wilson for always being an honest sounding board. Here's to the next 5 years! 🌟 #CareerJourney #Grateful #NewOpportunities #Marketing

Happy New Year! I want to begin 2024 with gratitude - focusing on the positives. What you focus on expands! I am eagerly looking forward to stepping into a new role this year that will allow me to serve in a capacity in which I am most passionate: People Operations. Im open to PBP, Recruiting, Recruiting Ops. and more! It gives me great pleasure to innovate and improve the ways people can show up to work authentically and safely. I stand in the intersection of being black, queer, and a woman. I am neurodivergent, a mother, a wife. I remind myself daily that I am positioned to support others in their authenticity. Even in the face of adversity, I am privileged above so many others. I would like to invite you all to support me on my journey to not only landing a new role BUT landing a new role that allows me to help others, both, like and unlike myself. To help provide context for you, here's a few stats about my most recent professional experience that I feel really speaks to my ability to connect with people and lead an organization forward in an inclusive, equitable, and diverse way: - I was responsible for contributing to a 20% hire rate in Q1' 2022 as a BRAND NEW sourcer at a Series C startup (recently acquired by Zillow). Affected by a RIF, I pursued a Sourcing role as a Sr. Talent Associate (Sr. Sourcer) at a Series E health tech startup. Thanks Adam Kovacs! - As a Sr. Sourcer most recently, I achieved a 100% retention rate for R&D hires at Hinge Health within one year post-hire. Talk about finding top talent who are not only content with the work that they do but committed to the organization they do it for!! - I successfully sourced and recruited 40% diversity-hire candidates from leading tech companies including companies like Meta and Snapchat. - During Pride Month (June 2023), I moderated a fireside chat with Chief People Officer, @VinceLim to discuss what it means to be "out at work". It was not only an honor but a learning experience for me as well. Vince was incredibly humble and exudes true leadership qualities in the face of persistent adversity. - I, along with exceptional team members and company leaders, spearheaded and led the planning and execution of the 1st ever official attendance by the Black Excellence Network (aka B.E.N.) Employee Resource Group to attend #AfroTech2023. After our attendance in 2022, alongside Nia-Emani D., we realized that it was necessary to help position and equip others with the resource that is AFROTECH. We delivered a 733% increase in conference attendance by Hinge Health attendees in just 1 year!! I have so much more that I can speak on. Let's chat about it! Thank you Valree Hill, Christine Lui Chen, Felicia Lateef, Eric Paxton, Evan Waldera, Isaac Christian, IV, Ryan Davis, Zachary Livingston, Bob Garcia (He/Him), Joan Sramek, and Noele Kaykas for all of your help, support, consideration and much more. Happy New Year !
