Today I had the pleasure to facilitate the presentations of two exiting evaluations for the monitoring committee of the Danish Structural Fund🇪🇺🇩🇰 COWI colleagues Line Frejlev and Laura Christine Karup presented the main findings from the final evaluation of the Danish Social fund and Regional Fund 2014-2020. After that colleagues Jakob Louis Pedersen and Ida-Marie Ronby Olsen presented the findings from the evaluation of the Danish Lighthouse initiatives. Even though the committee had a full day programme we had a great discussion and some great questions, and for me some of the main take-aways are: ✔️ There is af future potential to work with social inclusion as part of the SMEs ESG-related initiatives and integrate this closer to the company’s strategic development. ✔️ Involvement of GTS-institutes in public financed business support must take in consideration their commercial activities and provide sufficient funding for them. ✔️ The ambition to support companies in their journey towards sustainability has become much more ambitious but also more complex and results much hare to measure in a meaningful way. Both evaluations is initiated by Erhvervsstyrelsen and will be available online in a short while.     #COWI🧡 #evaluation 🔎
