We are pleased to share results of our work with General Mills to evaluate the economic impacts of soil health management system adoption on 15 small grain farms in the U.S. and Canada. In addition to all 15 farms reporting increased crop resilience from adopting soil health management systems, net farm income for small grain production increased by US$31/acre across five farms in Canada and by US$19/acre across ten farms in North Dakota and Kansas, primarily through reducing production costs while supporting similar or higher yields. Surface Water Quality Update: here is the most recent BCRAGD Quarterly In-house water quality sampling in the Medina River, Medina Lake, Sabinal River, and their tributaries to assess levels of E. coli bacteria, which were collected on May 21st & 23rd, 2024.

Sharing our lastest paper: Drivers of domestic wells vulnerability during droughts in California's Central Valley https://lnkd.in/gmYasJQC "Our results indicate that the depth of domestic wells, density of domestic and agricultural wells, socioeconomic conditions, and the extent of perennial crops play significant roles in predicting well failures during droughts. We show the implications of addressing these factors within the context of ongoing groundwater sustainability initiatives, and we propose strategies to safeguard the water source for thousands of individuals necessary to protect domestic wells."

More rain and snow is hitting California.
