Recognizing our replaceability in the workplaces can indeed empower us to approach situations with clarity and objectivity, rather than taking things personal. Your commitment to prioritize family time amidst de demands for work is commendable, and speak volumes about your values. Prioritizing quality over quantity, maintaining open communication, and sharing responsibilities are key ingredients for nurturing strong family bonds while navigating busy schedule. Your Jobs are replaceable, but you'll only get one family 😉

Warning signs of a toxic work culture: being told you're 'not tough enough' for speaking out against exploitation. Let's call it what it is - gaslighting. The normalization of overwork and burnout has gone unchecked for far too long. It's time to prioritize our mental health, challenge unhealthy work ethics, and demand a better work environment. #mentalhealthmatters #workplacewellness #healthyboundaries #careeradvocacy
Leaving a toxic workplace is a profound act of bravery that reflects an individual's commitment to their own well-being and personal growth. It requires the courage to confront not only the fear of uncertainty but also the acceptance that one deserves better than an environment that drains energy and stifles potential. Stop considering your workplace as family! 🚫 It's time for a reality check, folks. Your workplace isn't your family. Your family doesn't kick you out of the house whenever you make a mistake, right? Let's face it: your job is a transaction. You show up, you work hard, you get paid, and then you go home. End of story. While it's great to have a supportive work environment and colleagues who feel like friends, let's not blur the lines between professional and personal relationships. Here's the deal: your workplace owes you fair compensation for your time and effort, not unconditional love and loyalty. And you owe them professionalism and dedication in return. So let's stop with the "we're all family here" nonsense and focus on what really matters: doing great work, getting paid for it, and enjoying your actual family and personal life outside of the office. #Professionalism #WorkLifeBalance #RealityCheck #NoMoreFamilyTalk

Founder & CEO, Prezent | Business Communication Productivity for Enterprise | Talks about #BusinessCommunication, #AI, #remotework, #entrepreneurship, #leadership
The difference between a company surviving vs. thriving… … is how personal life is treated. As a side-note or a priority. As a CEO with 180+ employees… I’ve realized we’re all juggling balls of responsibilities in life— But the weight of each of those responsibilities isn’t equal. Work, projects, and money are “rubber” balls— If you drop them, they’ll bounce back. But health and family? Those are made of glass. If you drop them… …they can shatter into a million pieces. This is why I prioritize work-life harmony for my employees: → You don't need to explain why you're taking the day off → If you want to go pick up your kids at 3 PM, go for it → Want to take a stress walk at 9 AM? Awesome. Because what ultimately matters to me is this: 1. Quality work is delivered on time 2. Our work life is in harmony with our personal life Because happy employees = happy company. That’s what we’ve built our business on.

Do you ever encounter situations or people that present numerous challenges right from the start, making it hard to give them a fair chance to prove themselves? This new office setting has become one of those situations for me. I'm beginning to wonder if these challenges keep arising because deep down, we may not be fully prepared for even the smallest changes, like relocating an office and stepping out of our comfort zones. We had built our own world within our familiar space, finding comfort and safety there. Despite discussing the valid reasons for moving to a new location, I wasn't ready to let go of the comfort I had grown accustomed to. Now that I'm outside of that comfort zone, I've come to realize how much I took for granted – like not being catcalled on the street, not feeling different, or having easy access to water. Change can be positive, stepping out of your comfort zone can be beneficial, but it's also scary and risky. I recognize that this new space deserves a second chance from me. I need to focus on the positive aspects of this change and create my own little world within it, making the best of the situation.

We've transitioned to a new workspace, and the adjustment has brought its share of frustrations. Twelve of us, constantly venting amidst typing, eating, researching, pondering, and simply existing. It seemed like complaining was our job description. ቻል ያለው ችሎናል Our bickery echoes through the space, but our frustration was valid. New beginnings often bring new challenges, new faces to understand, new mountains to climb if we attempt the cliché 😁. It took time to mold the old space, a common ground where we all cherish equally. A democracy in its own right, an environment where NEED is met and WANT is accepted. A home away from home with coffee cerimony its common religion. But now our complaints start with the first "good morning" text we drop each other to the the final words whispered to our loved ones. Our days were filled with banter and bickering. Yet, amidst the chaos, we still choose this space. Despite our passionate hate to the new office we know the value is beyond that. It's about the meaning it infuses into our lives, the bonds formed. The people who were injected and immersed into our lives, The Elephants in the room ( this is a term my friend Hana Lale coined for us 😁) . We, the twelve of us, exist in a union, acknowledged and embraced by all. It's an unspoken promise sealed with countless cups of coffee, shared beers, funny chat groups, and plans for lunch dates. These three years have woven us together into a fabric of camaraderie and support. They are the people I wouldn't have chosen, yet I'm grateful to have stumbled upon. They are the ones who dispel sadness with their humor and show genuine concern with their hearts. In this eclectic mix, I choose to embrace everyone, colleagues, friends, and extended family. They are the army who, when life throws its curveballs, stand beside you unwaveringly. " With friends like you who needs luck " ያለው ማን ነበር?
