🍹The moment Amanda Thomson discovers Noughty is Top 🔝 Pick in Good Housekeeping’s ‘12 Bottles of Christmas’ feature, is a spotlight on the dramatic shift in the drinks industry. 🥂 Rather than the usual line-up of Non-Alcoholic drinks as a separate category, this is their top selection of drinks across the board, from Port to Champagne. 💡They smartly decided to incorporate alcohol-free, just like so many wine drinkers do now in the way they enjoy our wine. 🧠Let’s dig into the data… 🕺🏻 Whether you’re a Blender (22%) - enjoying both alcoholic and non-alcoholic at same occasion - or a Substituter (38%) - switching one for the other, depending on the occasion. 😮 Interestingly, the Abstainers (15%) are a smaller piece of the data pie which may come as a surprise. Triallers (25%) meanwhile normally drink full strength alcoholic drinks and occasionally try a non-alcoholic beverage. 📝And what’s intriguing is that they rigourously maintain independence with their tasting panel. #winetasting #celebration #HolidayDrinking #nonalcoholic #alcoholfree

WHAT IS THE HISTORY OF NATIONAL BEVERAGE DAY THAT FALLS ON MAY 6th? Beverages have always existed, in one form or another, since the beginning of mankind. Drinks take varied forms and significance in different cultures. They can be viewed as a once-in-a-while treat or as the driving force behind a much-needed morning pick me up — shoutout to all the coffee lovers! The origins of this day can be a little uncertain. Early mentions of National Beverage Day can be found as early as 1921. At this time, the day was known as Bottled Carbonated Beverage day. It was thought of as a way to promote bottled fizzy drinks as “pure” and “wholesome!” It’s hard to pinpoint exactly when Bottled Carbonated Beverage Day permanently became the less specific National Beverage Day, as ads throughout the 1920s alternately referred to it as National Carbonated Beverage Day or simply Beverage Day, among others. Nowadays, the meaning has changed thanks to a growing awareness of how and what beverages we consume — especially when they are sugary or alcoholic, so if they fall into this category, it’s always best to consume in moderation. It is not just during the summer months that beverages play a part in our lives. From cold champagne on New Year’s Eve to a piping hot espresso on a cold winter’s morning in December, beverages are something we enjoy all year long! #beverages #culture #consumed #alcohol #sugar

While the most consumed beverage worldwide is water, coffee nabs the top spot as the most popular drink in the U.S., beating out tea, soda, lemonade, and alcoholic beverages like beer, wine and cocktails. However, a morning cup of coffee is about more than just consuming caffeine. For many devoted drinkers, it’s a comforting ritual that helps start the day right. Some like it hot, while others prefer cold coffee. With so many different beans, roasts, brews, and preparations, consumers have almost endless options for customization. This is great news for manufacturers, retailers, and restaurateurs, who can jump on new trends to offer novel flavors and styles. Where are evolving coffee trends heading?
