Most ideas start small, imperfect or a little bit loose... The amazing Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, designed by the architect Frank Gehry is no exception. It's been described as "a convulsive, majestic, climactic assembly of titanium and stone, of heft and shimmer, a cross-breed of palazzo and ship that also flips its tail like a jumping fish." (Rowan Moore - The Guardian) Having been lucky enough to visit, it's jaw-dropping and an architectural, creative mind bomb. But why do I share? I love that original scribble. That little dash & splash of getting your ideas out into the world, not stressing about what it looks like, being ok with building, twisting, squeezing, flipping and turning it upside down and letting go of 'perfect.' Let your early ideas go for a walk. Give them some air. Scribble down some ideas. Let them loose. I think that our idea of 'perfect' can hold our creativity back - personally, in teams and organisationally. Ideas grow by exploring them, testing them and giving them some air - not keeping them in the dark until they are perfect (and often in the process, knocking anyone else's ideas that may not be 'perfect') Most ideas start small, imperfect or a little bit loose... let them roll. Innovation isn’t just about creating something new—it’s about seeing the familiar in extraordinary ways. Meet Bridgeline, the heartbeat of our Anthology collection. This patent-pending support system was inspired by everyday marvels: the elegant strength of a bridge’s cables and the precision tension of a guitar’s truss rod. Adjust the tension as the material weight changes without adding additional support. Bridgeline spans wide spaces without obstruction, delivering unmatched stability and sleek design. It’s proof that ideas can come from anywhere—engineering, music, architecture—and when combined, they can reimagine what’s possible in design. We believe great design doesn’t stop at aesthetics; it solves problems, sparks connection, and inspires creativity. Bridgeline isn’t just about holding up a table—it’s about holding space for better ideas and stronger collaboration. https://bit.ly/40p57hh What everyday marvels inspire your work? #InnovationInDesign #EngineeringPrecision #CollaborativeDesign #JSIBridgeline #JSIAnthology #DesignThatInspires

Today marks the beginning of a new chapter for Design Lab, a Contemporary Renaissance inspired by over 20 years of creativity, innovation, and reflection. At the heart of our journey lies a seamless fusion of art, design, and technology, not just solving the needs of spaces but elevating lives. Like Kandinsky said, “Art does not repeat itself; it is unique in its time.” This philosophy drives every project, every idea, and every step we take toward the future. Join us in redefining what it means to live consciously, harmoniously blending humanity, nature, and technology. This is more than design. It is transformation, a celebration of possibilities, and a gateway to a lifestyle beyond comfort and luxury. Let’s build the future together. #SchallerDesignLab #ContemporaryRenaissance #ArtDesignTechnology #FutureOfLiving
