We have all experienced this at some point. For example, you might work tirelessly on a project, adding immense value, but someone else—who doesn't see all the details or understand your skills—questions why you deserve recognition or a raise. Or, you could have a manager who overlooks your contributions, dismissing your potential for growth simply because they haven’t taken the time to understand the impact you’re making. In these moments, it’s important to remember your own value and know that your worth isn’t defined by someone else’s limited perspective.
