Established personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devises a strategy to meet those goals. Attends product and sales training courses as requested by General Manager or Sales Managers. Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc. and their benefits to guests. Knows and understands equity and values, and is able to explain depreciation to the guest. Introduces guest to sales department personnel to sell them a new vehicle after purchase of their existing vehicle. Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to guest satisfaction. Maintains a prospect development system of current used vehicle prospects and schedules appointments to appraise and purchase used vehicles. Determine management, production and quality requirements by asking questions and listening. Maintain a follow-up system that encourages follow through with assigned project Report to Supervisor regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews and analyses. Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.

Company car or Car allowance? Many of the sales roles we recruit require the sales professional to have a vehicle. From what I can see there is no benefit to the employer to offer a company car over a car allowance and the downside is your stuck with a car when they move on. Does anyone see any benefit to SMEs using company cars over the allowance?

A dream sales job for car enthusiasts! Recently met the GM of a car detailing & beautification company. They have several locations across MA and expect to increase revenue 80% in 2024 vs 2023. This is a highly profitable biz! They have 3 salespeople, the most tenured sells $200k+/mo (the avg price of a package is $2k). He's in his early 20's, has been there for 1.5 yrs, and is projected to earn $100k+ this year. Their other 2 salespeople have been there for ~2 months and should earn $80-90k in year 1. They have individual sales goals but no individual commissions which means everyone gets a percent of ALL revenue the biz generates (like a profit share). They work together to accomplish their goals, get to explore & drool over high-end exotic cars, and can earn a lucrative living without the stress & turmoil often associated with SaaS sales. They have a marketing team driving inbound leads and 60% of their customers come back. Oh, and they have 800+ 5-star reviews on Google. The #1 requirement they look for in salespeople is a genuine love for cars. This is the type of job I wish I knew about when I was starting my sales career. I'd have definitely given this industry (and this company) a look!

Sales Managers do this A lot. I know of a boss who had a personal car and got a new NSM position where he was given a car and a driver meaning he now has two cars. The Job was going so good and infact some good side kicks were coming in and he felt the need to sell his personal car since it wasn't doing much and that he can't be maintaining two cars. Also he had a financial need to meet so he sold the car and I guess used the money for what he wanted it for. 5 months letter, there were complications with the job and he was sacked and the company's car withdrawn from him. Now he's left with no personal car. Why do we always fall for this trap? #sales #salesmanager #salesrepresentative
