Does Elevate Have More Features Than Honda City? | Honda Elevate FAQ #3 There’s not a lot of features that the Elevate gets over the city, but here are three things you should keep in mind: First, the interiors. The interiors on the Elevate look pleasing and there’s an upmarket feeling to it. The tan-colored leather seats look fantastic, and the cushioning is great. There’s tan coloured soft-touch material which again adds to the wow factor. Second, the infotainment system. The Elevate gets a floating 10.25” infotainment screen which looks very modern. This is a welcome change from the infotainment screen seen in the City, which feels very after-market. However, it's only available in the top-spec ZX trim. Third, the wheels. The top-spec Elevate comes with 17” wheels while the lower variants get the 16” steel rims. In contrast the top-spec City comes with 16” alloys while the lower trims come with 15” steel rims. ▶️ bit.ly/hondaelevatefaq ~ MotorInc FAQs are a series of videos that take a minute-by-minute, literally, close look at all the information you need to understand what the product is, what it does well, or not, as well as how it sits in its class and fits into your life. My short take on the new Renault 5 Today Renault unveiled the production version of the 5, the eagerly anticipated small hatchback inspired by the iconic first generation 5 and it's popular successor. Similar to other brands also Renault is jumping on the retro bandwagon. Next to the nicely executed retro queues what stroke me are the 18inch wheels. Not so much the rim size, but the tire rubber size. Similar to it's bigger brother, the Megane E-tech, it also comes with "tall and narrow" tires designed specifically for the 5 (195/55 R18) with 672 overall tire diameter, giving the 5 it's concept car look without having to sacrifice too much in driving efficiency. Can we still call this a small car however? Considering the 50 years between the first and today's 5, the additional 414mm length increase is actually quite reasonable. To put it in perspective, the Volkswagen Polo increased 541mm in a shorter timeframe. Proportionally the front overhang takes the majority of that increase (+250mm) because of safety regulations over the last decades. The increase in wheelbase (+121mm) is probably a combination of interior space expectations and battery capacity. The remaining 47mm are a welcome addition to the bootspace and help to balance the design. With this in mind, I believe it still is a small car in today's car context, the next years will show what other manufacturers planned in the small EV space. Looking forward seeing the car in the flesh since the first images look impressive. #renault #renault5 #retro #smallcar #ev #design #cardesign #designstrategy #genevamotorshow #2024cars Laurens van den Acker Gilles Vidal

The BMW M5 is powering into a new era. With 40 years of history under its belt, the legendary high-performance sedan is entering its seventh model generation. And the executive model from BMW M GmbH now has an electrified drive system for the first time. A model-specific version of the M HYBRID system gives the new BMW M5 (energy consumption, weighted, combined: 1,7 – 1,6 l/100 km [166.2 – 176.6 mpg imp] and 25,5 – 25,0 kWh/100 km according to WLTP; The combination of a high-revving V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology and an electric motor, plus power transfer courtesy of an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and M xDrive all-wheel drive, enables acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.5 seconds. The imposing power delivery and emotionally engaging performance experience served up by the new BMW M5 are accompanied by a new interpretation of the high-performance car design for which M is renowned. Prominent wheel arch and side skirt extensions, the sculptural front apron and model-specific surfacing around the C-pillar – including an embossed “M5” logo for the Hofmeister kink – give the car an athletic appearance that helps to differentiate it more clearly than ever from the BMW 5 Series Sedan. At the same time, an unusually high proportion of surfaces painted in body colour create a puristic appearance with stylish references to its superior dynamic talents. As such, the exterior design – like the ambience of the luxurious interior, which is enhanced with M-specific features – accentuates the multi-layered character of the new BMW M5. Its sense of poise and assurance is fuelled by vast reserves of power that can be summoned at any time. Kept discreetly in reserve during relaxed, electric-only cruises, this performance comes vividly to the fore as the BMW M5 reveals the “sporty sedan” side to its personality over longer distances – and is unleashed in full during sessions on the track. The M HYBRID system, plus power transmission and chassis technology tuned to its specific performance characteristics, give the new BMW M5 transverse and longitudinal dynamics unparalleled in this market segment. Together with its similarly outstanding elasticity, the new BMW M5 takes M performance into a new dimension. Source: press.bmwgroup

Design holds significant importance in the automotive industry, to the extent that it can directly influence sales. This is evident in various models ranging from the Suzuki Ritz to the Nissan Juke, where unconventional design elements have had a noticeable impact on their market performance. In the case of the 3XO, it appears to be a rather assertive facelift of the XUV 300, which could potentially affect its reception in the market. #xuv3xo #design #cars #automotive_news https://lnkd.in/gSmxGJQS
