3 Reasons Not To Buy One | Honda Activa 2024 FAQ #03 As a market-leading product that's a very definite formula, the Honda's weakest in terms of evolution, which all of its rivals can access but the Activa cannot change rapidly. The first reason not to get the Activa is its success. It doesn't allow Honda to upgrade the Activa and it's easily beaten by its rivals on multiple fronts whether you look at floorboard space, underseat space, performance, economy, quality... you name it. Second, Honda resisted adding telescopic forks for absolutely years and today, the forks on the Activa have very limited absorption capacity – not that scooters are great at this anyway – which makes it uncomfortable over bad roads. The most budget of motorcycles, for example, will easily offer more comfort, and many scooters, it must be said, do. Third, it's not fun to ride. We strongly believe that enjoying your riding is key to a memorable riding experience and the Honda Activa is so appliance-like that it's a dull, though reasonably competent, riding experience.
