Globally, all #batterytechnology teams are hitting the theoretical limits of their TM-based #cathodes, but it's not just active materials. The most elegant way to increase the #energy content is to reduce the content of the inactive components of the cells, and this is where theion rules the world with the AEPN LiS pouch cell cathodes 120x70mm with 92% wt. content of #sulfur. Together with the porosity of the #sulfurcathode below 20%, it´s corresponds to an E/S ratio below 1.6 ml/g. 1000 Wh/kg #lithiumsulfur #batteries are not possible without the support of the #engineering team, so we are looking for a talented #highvoltage engineer to join our R&D team, and by high voltage I meant tens to hundreds of kV at micro currents. As a part of the Theion #Battery #Technology team you will work on #DEP (#Dielectrophoresis) induced #AEPNtechnology responsible for building ultra-low resistance Artificial Electron Percolation Networks inside our sulfur cathodes. “Summer is a silent period! Sales people have no work now!” I see statements like this on LinkedIn all the time. For me personally this summer has been very busy. What have I been up to at work this summer? Here we go: ✅ Processing trial requests for Siemens EDA (Siemens Digital Industries Software) products and #ODTtraining. Engineers aren’t as busy with projects in summer, so they have time to test new products and study new tools. ✅ Organizing upcoming Sintecs' SI/PI training sessions. In October we are holding training sessions in both the Netherlands and Germany, so I’m handling registrations, finding venues, and discussing terms with the participants and partners. ✅ Connecting with current and potential partners. We’re talking about our joint plans and possible projects. Yeah, some people are more open to discuss business when they are not overwhelmed with working routine. ✅ Boosting my electronics knowledge. I read industry news, check out the #EDA products, and learn something new every day to improve my technical knowledge. ✅ Reviewing my prospect lists and preparing update emails about Sintecs, which I’ll send out after the vacation period. ✅ Learning new tools and improving my customer interaction skills. So, I definitely don’t get bored in the summer, and honestly, I have way more energy now than any other time of the year, so I try to channel it into important tasks 💡 How’s your workload during the summer? I often speak about Software Engineering and advocate for Excellent Software Engineering, but I want to do something different this time. Often, engineers forget how important it is to have HR people who understand what good Software Engineering looks like and support initiatives to improve it. I must say I am lucky enough to have met two great ICs specifically in HR. Gabriele Riccelli and Marco Vadori. Gabriele Riccelli has put in the work, worn the shoes of a developer, and spent time collecting feedback on what talent/seniority looks like in this industry and he's on a successful streak of great hirings - at least IMHO. Marco Vadori - whose funny enough I was the first hire - proved not only to understand all the nuances of a good culture but, more importantly, to be able to influence important decisions when it comes to creating an enabling environment for great Software Engineering. As isolated ICs, we can't do much about the holistic view, but when we start sharing ideas, engaging people in thoughtful conversations, and finding people who share the same vision and are passionate about it, that's when great things can happen! #softwaredevelopment #softwareengineering
