Everything around us was designed by people... for people. I had this realization many years ago when I decided to become an architect. In fact, I did become one, but now I shape the world with 0s & 1s and pixels – as a digital architect. Steve Jobs had a unique ability to put complex things in simple words, making them easier to understand: "Everything around you that you call life was made up by people who were no smarter than you. You can tell me which is your favorite! 💙 Was recently speaking with a junior designer on getting into the industry and crafting their portfolio. 🎭 In today's competitive market, one of the major challenges individuals may encounter is that their case studies often lack differentiation in presentation and content. It is hard to stand out when every role posted gets 300+ applications within hours. My advice was to write their case study differently. 💫 Don’t give a generic step-by-step breakdown of your process. Instead, start by answering some “more interesting” prompts and build from there. Prompts such as: 1. The biggest challenge I had was… 🎯 2. We found a gap in our knowledge around… ⚓ 3. We unexpectedly learned… 🚧 4. Our first attempt didn’t work because… 🚦 5. I am most proud of… 🌈 6. I was surprised by… 🤩 7. The key impact we had was… 🤟 8. We had to adapt because…. 🌸 9. My biggest takeaway was… 🎈 10.
