A question to unlock your future: What am I not achieving simply because I haven’t asked? 🤔 When Steve Jobs was 12 years old, he cold-called Hewlett-Packard co-founder Bill Hewlett and asked for spare computer parts. It led to a summer internship and further stoked a curiosity that never went away. 🌟 The story offers an important reminder: Closed mouths don’t get fed. 🚪❌🍽️ There is something in your life that you deserve but haven’t achieved, simply because you haven’t asked for it yet. 🌠 If you want something—and you’ve done the work to earn it—go ask for it. 💪 Worst case—you’re told no. ❌ Best case—it’s yours. ✅ Most of the people you admire are willing to help. They received help on their journey and want to pay it forward. But you have to do the work to earn that help. 🤝 The old adage to sit back and wait for good things to happen is terrible advice. I recently completed a summer course with @Jacob Schermers from www.salesarchitects.nl. He and his team taught us how to apply the Theory of Constraints (Dr. E.M. Goldratt) and Current Reality Tree to analyze and improve our sales performance, processes, and organization. The main idea is to identify the real problems that our customers are facing and design solutions and sales strategies that address them (from lead generation to customer retention). This course was very insightful and useful for me. I wish I had learned these concepts earlier in my career.

Steve Jobs' story of cold-calling Bill Hewlett at just 12 years old illustrates a fundamental truth: the act of asking for help is a powerful step towards achieving one's goals.   This tale of Jobs finding Hewlett's number in the phone book,  calling him to ask for spare parts and Hewlett offering him an internship, resonates with me.   It highlights the importance of initiative and the willingness to reach out for guidance. In my career as a Recruiter, I've witnessed the transformative impact of mentorship and support. Whether it's seeking advice, mentorship, or simply a listening ear, the courage to ask can unlock doors previously thought closed. Encouraging openness among professionals creates a culture where seeking help is seen not as a weakness but as a strategic move towards personal and professional growth. The difference between those who dream and those who achieve is often the simple act of reaching out.  Whether you're navigating career transitions or searching for your next opportunity, remember that asking for help is a sign of strength and foresight.
