"Misconceptions A common mistake among sales engineers responsible for selling the self-leveling epoxy system for industrial floors is convincing the client that this system can fix leveling defects in the floors and that it can correct floor level issues even within the range of 2 to 5 millimeters. This is undoubtedly incorrect. The self-leveling epoxy is a system designed for industrial floors in factories where heavy equipment movement occurs, up to 5 tons, provided there are no industrial processes that raise temperatures above normal ambient levels and also provided that the area is not exposed to cooling. It is a mistake to take the impression of self-leveling epoxy as a literal translation of its name, implying that it fixes floor leveling defects. Instead, this name refers to a property of the material, meaning it flows automatically and is easy to direct, but it follows the same profile of the existing floors, rising with the high areas and lowering with the low areas."
