Sometimes I feel like the idea of considering migrants as illegal is something a lot of people take for granted. Many seem convinced that everyone arriving in Italy through the #BalkanRoute or the #MediterraneanSea is here illegally. What really makes me angry is how few people stop to think why migrants make these "journeys". Instead, they’re quick to #judge or want to #sendthemback, without asking themselves what could push someone to #risk everything. Let’s be real—none of us would choose such a dangerous journey unless we had no other choice. So why assume it’s different for them? It’s frustrating how much people blindly trust what they see on TV or in the newspapers, like we’re just swallowing whatever the #media or #powerfulpeople want us to believe. But we’re not powerless—we can think for ourselves, find #reliablesources, and look deeper into the truth. I really hope that this year more people will start seeing the world through their own eyes and hearts, instead of just going along with the narratives handed to us. 🌍 Let’s try to understand.
