At 7.48% CAGR (Compounding annual growth rate), there is no question that this will be a growing need.
… at what expense?
200+ foreign nurses were hired for this position by just 1 employer alone with contract provisions that New York Department of Labor calls out “illegal”.
Contract provision: “if nurse refuse assignment, termination will incur ‘liquidated damages’ …
1) ALL expenses of immigration repaid (reasonable)
2) pay legal fees (maybe reasonable)
3) FUTURE PROFIT LOSSES (?)
4) the COST of training and hiring a new nurse (?)
2 foreign nurse called me:
“I was not told my patient was a 6’ behavioral patient teenager. Everytime we go to work, we get bruises all over.
We reported this to our employer many times and we were told that we are under contract. We just want to quit but we were told this will cost us $200,000+. We are new in the US and have no money for lawyer.”
These messages are discussed in the international space.
