How do you encourage innovation in your team? Innovation Hack: Forget Brainstorming, Try This! Are you tired of the same old brainstorming sessions that seem to go nowhere? If you're looking to encourage innovation in your team, why not try a different approach? 🤔 💡In my classroom, we don't just stick to textbooks and lectures. We create an environment that encourages innovation! Here's how we do it: 🏫🚀 We start by gathering real data, such as surveys and classroom discussions, to identify problems and understand where our students need extra help. This helps us to be like detectives, cracking the code to success. 🔍📊 We mix up our teams, bringing together students with different skills and strengths. This helps to spark wild ideas and creativity, as everyone brings their own unique perspectives to the table. 🤝🧑🤝🧑🤯 We also encourage experimentation and make sure that mistakes are seen as opportunities to learn and grow. This creates a safe space where everyone can try new things and take risks without fear of judgement. 🧪👨🔬🌟 Our approach has led to incredible results, with our students achieving great success and feeling the joy of exploration. By ditching the boring routines and embracing a fun and collaborative learning environment, we're creating a vibrant learning playground where data fuels curiosity, collaboration sparks magic, and every day is a chance to redefine what's possible. 🎉📈🤹♀️ So why not give it a try? Let's get started on this learning adventure together! 🤗🚀 #innovation #education #math #collaboration #data #experimentation #fun #classroom "This article reflects the combined effort of human understanding and the power of AI technology."

HighLight: There's an undeniable warmth in handcrafted presentations :) #ViewSonic#EdTech#myViewBoard#TeamWork
Embracing Trends and Warmth in Presentations: AI may be setting the trend for creating slide decks, but there's an undeniable warmth in handcrafted presentations. PPT may define a presentation, but it's teamwork that brings participation. For a long time, experts have advocated for a shift from teacher-centered to student-centered approaches. Yet, the dominion of one-way lectures persists, stubbornly unchanging in classrooms and meetings. It's high time we transform theory into practice. This year, I took a bold step at our company's internal meeting: I introduced a handwritten, immersive, interactive presentation. It began with managers directly engaging in my presentation, jotting down performance metrics and objectives as I spoke. Then, my colleagues added their annotations and signatures. Finally, we invited the entire company to join in, co-sign, and celebrate together, breaking away from the traditional mold of presentations and teaching. It was fun! Teaching and meetings have finally evolved beyond the monotonous norm.

💡The Power of Concept Maps in Learning and Problem-Solving Whether you're a student, professional, or lifelong learner, concept maps are an incredible tool for organising complex information and making connections between ideas. A concept map is a visual representation where key ideas are connected through lines or arrows, showing how they relate to one another. This technique is especially useful for: - 📚 Learning new concepts: It helps break down complex topics into manageable parts. - 💼 Problem-solving: By visually mapping out relationships, you can explore different angles of a problem. - 🎯 Brainstorming: Mind maps (a type of concept map) are excellent for capturing and organising thoughts creatively. Want to elevate your critical thinking and understanding? Try creating a concept map next time you're faced with a new challenge or learning task! #Learning #Education #CriticalThinking #ProblemSolving #MindMapping #ConceptMapping #Productivity

Learning & Development Leader | Enabling public servants to serve best with learning solutions that support performance | Emergency Management
I listened to a great recording of ‘Designing brain friendly learning for lasting impact’ lead by Karen Stone and hosted by the L&D SHAKERS. We often talk about embedding training and helping others use information in practical ways. What we are really talking about is building habits. How do you start doing this? You move beyond learning as a single event and more as a journey with multiple learning solutions that involve people leaders. Habits aren’t built after one go. You also achieve this by listening to the recording 😉 - https://lnkd.in/gKU7iqN2 #learninganddevelopment #continuingprofessionaldevelopment

Neither man nor nation can exist without a sublime #idea. ~ Fyodor Dostoyevsky . Appealing to different #learning styles when pitching an Idea can be a #game changer. Ever pitched a #brilliant idea only for it to fall flat? The issue might not be the idea itself, but your ability to engage your audience. To captivate your listeners, try appealing to three different learning styles. For #visual learners, #paint a picture. Use colourful charts, graphs, and illustrations to make your points clear. Or you could include a #prototype, demo #video, or animations to bring ideas to life. You might also ask your audience to close their eyes and envision a #concept as you lay it out. For #auditory learners, use your voice. Begin with a compelling #narrative. Vary your tone, pace, and pauses to create a sonic experience. Rephrase your questions to invite expansive thinking, like switching from “What do you think?” to “Can you help me think about this differently?” Incorporate relevant sounds or #music to enhance emotional #connection. For #kinesthetic learners, create a hands-on experience. Include tangible elements like #product prototypes or interactive #models, or create activities that allow learners who prefer tactile learning to #experience your idea firsthand.
