🤳 Every brand has a tremendous opportunity to tell its story through the power of the smartphone. In my recent conversation with Justin Ulrich 📢🎙️ of Evocalize, we talked about how impactful smartphone storytelling is and how the "realness" of the raw, unproduced video content that folks like Shawn P. As marketers, we often fall into the well-rehearsed monologue of all the things that would be possible "if only we had more budget..." But on this week's episode of In Conversation, Head of Brand & Product at Nala, Simone Lewis, talks about how creativity doesn't have a price-point and that entry can be almost free. It's a refreshing take on an age-old problem, and if Nala's efforts in-market are anything to go by, the proof is in the pudding. Simone covers low-cost but high-attention campaigns – from sending an inflatable breast down the Yarra river to campaign against online censorship, or launching the brand via g-strings on car bonnets. This is a brand that thinks outside-of-the-box. Want to hear more? Listen to our full chat with Simone about embracing the less-obvious approach to your marketing, and how you can still make a big impact with a small budget. Excited to share that my conversation with Nolan Parker is now live! I really enjoyed learning about Nolan's systemized approach to uncovering what makes Rook highly valuable to their customers. Getting to the heart of your unique value proposition isn't just a nice-to-have; it's critical to the success of your business. It shapes everything – from communications and marketing to sales, product development, and service delivery. It reduces time and resources spent on things that don't move the needle. For example, once you're clear that your product or service provides a greater value to certain companies, you won't spend time on sales calls with companies that aren't in that category. I’m curious – what are the game-changing questions you’ve asked that really honed in on your focus or opened up new paths? Drop them in the comments! Lead Product Marketing Manager at Classy/GoFundMe | 🎙️ Host of Product Marketing Life | Creator of Holy Shift
Did Emily Pick & I compare internal requests to dementors? Maybe. Was it said in love? Absolutely. Real talk though, if Product Marketers aren't given clear priorities that they can use to fend off and filter requests, they're going to spin in circles and get nothing done. The requests for a product marketer's time are too many, and most of them are not without some sort of clear benefit. So for a product marketer to thrive, they need clear priorities that they can filter every single request through, asking: 1. Does this request fit my priorities? If yes, do it. If not.. 2. Does it warrant re-prioritization? If yes, do it. If not... It's not for now. It's for later. Emily and I dive deep on KPIs, prioritization, and more on tomorrow's episode of Product Marketing Life. DON'T FORGET TO GIVE IT A LISTEN, FOLKS. It'll be out on Friday 3/15 Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and on the Product Marketing Alliance site.

It was awesome chatting with Will Hall about design. Have a listen to this week's episode of Fail Hard. #industrialdesign #design
In this week's episode of Fail Hard, I sat down with acclaimed industrial designer Scott Henderson for a conversation about design, intuition, and the creative process. Scott shares insights into the role of subconscious creativity, the importance of "trapped energy" in great design, and how fun and joy should never be overlooked in the design process. I thoroughly enjoyed our chat. Perhaps you will as well. Fail Hard is created in conjunction with ByDesign TV with production support from Martin Nayeri. Sponsored by Adobe. To my network, please consider listening to my personal development obsessed best mate on his newest venture. I promise you, his thoughts are just as impressive as his fine looks (let’s just hope there is video as well as audio!)
Big, exciting, uncomfortable news. I have wanted to launch a podcast for years, and have never pulled the trigger, until now. The subject is growth, be it financial, physical, emotional, or any form of progression and mastery. This is me sharing my journey of growth with you, getting comfortable with posting on social media, overcoming social awkwardness, and giving a platform to various experts of growth in their own individual fields, to better myself and my listeners. My first episode is with the talented Juria H., discussing what it takes to succeed with social media. The podcast is currently available on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/eCpwUafw and Spotify: https://lnkd.in/eJde5qjx (Apple doesn’t seem to have recovered from the tech issues last week, but stay tuned). The support so far has been overwhelming, thank you all so much, especially to those embarking on this journey with me.
