2023 has been a year of many milestones for us, but being recognized among a cohort of such incredible peers has really moved me. This is also a year where several high-value hydrogen deep techs have shifted toward scale across each of the Three Pillars in Australia including our friends at Hysata in Production, us at Rux Energy in Storage & Distribution / Midstream, and Dovetail Electric Aviation in End-Use/Downstream. Australia punching above it's weight in discovery and tech dev. Very exciting times. Happy World Environment Day 2024 🌍 Celebrated annually on June 5th, World Environment Day aims to encourage worldwide awareness and protection for the environment. Congratulations WellingtonNZ and Motion Capital on hosting the first-ever Climate Tech Summit Aotearoa last week! 🌿 ⚡ 🐜 Climate tech - defined as any tech-based solution to environmental problems - looks to be one of the important components of any successful engagement with the multiple environment-related challenges we face. Three new startups from Creative HQ’s climate accelerator won a $50,000 investment each from Motion Capital: GOOD GRUB AGRITECH, which produces low-cost insect protein for animal feed; Mara Bio, which makes a fungi-based protein; and Aotea Energy, which is developing smart home batteries. Props to Lachlan Nixon's Motion Capital and Whakatupu Aotearoa Foundation for establishing a pre-seed fund to support each of the nine ventures in Creative HQ’s climate accelerator. We are proud to announce a 5-year partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Fight against Climate Change, Wildlife, and Parks (MELCCFP). With a value of 22.25 million, this partnership will allow Cycle Momentum to expand its operations and develop new projects, including a private capital investment matching program called "Origo Program."
