To encourage the recycling of bottle caps and increase the chances of them being recycled, we replaced the printed branding with an embossed recycling message. Removing the ink reduces carbon emissions created during printing and, because ink is a contaminant, this improves a cap’s recyclability too. So, while it may seem like a small change, the scale of its impact is exponential and ensures that we move ever closer to a circular economy. #circulareconomy #mpactplastics #smartsustainablesolutions #mpact #sustainability #closures #caps #bottlecaps #plasticbottlecaps #sustainableclosures #circularthinking #packaging #sustainable Mpact Limited

Nice. Even better without colour masterbatch inclusion and tethered to the bottle so that lids/caps/closures do not continue to be the 5th biggest polluter of waterways and beaches globally. This will increases the value of the material as it can then a) be processes with the bottle when it's recycled, and b) be recycled into something of higher value than a colored lid can. This is what true design for circularity is! #collection #recycling #circularity #tethering #masterbatch
