The Green Cab will also start a Women's Driving Academy to train women drivers for free as a way to remove this key barrier to women's equal representation in the sector. Discover the impact of our first round of the Sustainability Acceleration Programme, launched in December 2023! During the last months, ten innovative ventures gained the insight and resources needed to integrate sustainability practices into their business models. Through interactive workshops and mentoring sessions led by TheRockGroup (TRG) and the WIN Women Investor Network Norway, participants developed strategies, navigated regulations, mapped value chains, and enhanced communication plans, boosting their business capacity and competitiveness. From Amsterdam to Blönduós, Iceland, Geneva to Tallinn, makers in former industrial areas face many of the same systemic challenges. When we visited cities across Europe with our partners in the CENTRINNO EU Project, we saw that despite how diverse they are in their heritage, they share similar problems: gentrification, high housing prices, and a loss of affordable workspaces. Tacking these requires policy action. To maintain a circular economy, cities need to value makers, support local production, and strengthen supply chains. Our team at the Metabolic Institute has put together recommendations to guide policymakers who are trying to stimulate circular local makers. For example, understanding the local context is a crucial first step to finding opportunities for circularity. We are pleased to present Sino Land’s Sustainability Report 2024, which outlines our ongoing efforts and solid progress in advancing ESG practices. This year, the report featured our first-ever double materiality assessment, conducted in collaboration with stakeholders to identify and prioritise key ESG issues and financial impacts. Key highlights of our commitment to carbon neutrality and urban biodiversity, include the validation of our near-term emissions reduction targets by the Science Based Targets initiative, the opening of the CORAL REEFStoration Centre for coral ecosystem conservation, and the expansion of our urban farms to a total of 22 locations in Hong Kong and Singapore. Additionally, we are excited to introduce new initiatives that underscore our commitment to social sustainability and innovation. These include “Sino Women Connect”, which aims to empower our female colleagues across the Group, and “The Spark”, a platform within the new Sino Inno Lab at One North, designed to connect Hong Kong startups with business opportunities in the GBA market.
