In the hedge fund space, the role of a Compliance Manager has never been more critical. With regulatory landscapes evolving, it's essential for funds to stay ahead of the curve to mitigate risks and maintain integrity. I've witnessed firsthand the transformative impact a top-tier Compliance Manager can have on a hedge fund's operations. These professionals are ensuring that funds not only comply with current regulations but are also well-prepared for future legislative changes. Why Hedge Funds Need Expert Compliance Managers: - Regulatory Expertise: They possess an in-depth understanding of FCA regulations, AIFMD, and global compliance standards. - Risk Mitigation: Proactive identification and management of compliance risks protect the fund's reputation and financial health. - Strategic Advisory: Compliance Managers offer strategic counsel to the board, aligning regulatory requirements with business goals. For candidates, the hedge fund industry offers a dynamic and challenging environment where your expertise will not only be valued but will also be pivotal in driving the fund's success. For clients, partnering with a trusted recruiter means gaining access to a curated pool of top compliance talent, ensuring your fund is equipped to navigate the complexities of the regulatory environment. My commitment is to bridge the gap between exceptional talent and leading hedge funds. Let's connect and explore how we can elevate your compliance strategy to new heights. #ComplianceRecruitment #HedgeFundCareers #RiskManagement

Experience from a couple of $1bn+ AUM hedge funds: Fund A) Takes 6 months to onboard a new dataset. Fund B) Takes 2-4 weeks to onboard a new dataset. Both go through legal review and a sample data pilot. I read that the guys at A) spend 70 hours per week at work, while those at B) only spend 50. Considering alpha decay in this business, Fund A) strategy is pretty bold.

At Laz Partners, we are working with a variety of Macro & Multi-Strategy Hedge funds that are actively hiring in London, New York, and Hong Kong, while also keeping a low profile. As a result, many of these funds are not likely to be covered by the majority of the search firms in the market. These include recent and future macro & multi-strategy platform launches (multiple B$) that are offering attractive pay-outs and allocations to future PMs and APMs within Macro Futures/Rates/Macro Vol/FX/Equities and Macro Credit. While some of these firms have a preference towards G10 Macro candidates, given that EM may not be a focus from day 1, there is still an overall appetite for high preforming EM PMs and Traders (including from the sell-side), given a very attractive opportunity set in the months ahead. In terms of strategy types, we have clients that are interested in both Directional Macro, as well as Macro RV strategies. If you are a discretionary or systematic Macro PM, APM, or Trader with strong returns (at least $15m-$20m over 2+ years) and/or a high Sharpe, feel free to reach out at amar@lazpartners.com for a confidential discussion, even if you are happy and not actively looking. A couple of our clients would also consider exceptional Macro Strategists/idea generators, however the bar is extremely high and typically there would be a need for a verifiable track record of trade ideas, as well as a strong quantitative background.

𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝗛𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲? I recently spoke with an Operations Manager from a top-tier hedge fund, who said that his fund's operations team was so highly valued in the business that the Front Office wouldn’t consider new strategies without seeking Ops approval first. So instead of the Operations team having to implement new processes, systems, and team members to manage a new strategy… The trading desk had to seek approval from the Ops team to ensure they had the capacity to take on potentially more work and start trading new strategies. This is a $50bn+ global hedge fund… no small fish… and they are Operations-focused in their approach to growth. I hadn’t heard of this happening before, usually Ops teams are continuously adapting to new products, strategies.... or whatever the Front Office needs them to. But it showed the influence a well-run Operations team can have on a business. I wonder how many other companies adopt a similar approach…

Partnering with Financial Services firms with our Knowledge Process Outsourcing, to drive growth and efficiency across Data and Technology, Investment Research, Marketing, Compliance, Middle/Back Office, & Quant/Risk.
"How Acuity Knowledge Partners can help Forensic analysis has emerged as a very useful niche tool for investors. The role of forensic analysis differs based on whether an investor is bullish or bearish. For bearish investors, forensic analysis is important because accounting-related anomalies can be a strong catalyst for short positions. For bullish investors, forensic analysis provides an important layer of investment validation. It analyses whether a company’s historical results are sustainable and support projected results, or whether these results are tainted by factors such as questionable accounting. It also analyses companies’ strategic and operating choices. Our Forensic Analysis team helps clients navigate complex accounting treatment in financial statements and its impact on earnings and the balance sheet. Our team of forensic analysts have more than 10 years of experience in catering to this niche market, with hands-on experience in dealing with securities in diverse geographies and sectors."
