It’s that time of year when the warm sun and long days make you want to drive out to the beach, take a road trip or maybe even put a new stamp in your passport. While time away can’t pay the bills, it can restore, inspire, and even draw you closer to God. Traveling and taking vacations can be part of the biblical call to rest (see Exodus 33:14, Matthew 11:28 and Mark 6:31 among others). God can be calling you to take a trip that's out of your comfort zone in order to trust in Him more deeply. It can also be used as a time to spend more time in prayer with God, renewing our mind and body to His word. Here are nine good reasons to travel: 1. Traveling teaches you about God’s creativity. 2. Traveling pulls you out of your routine. 3. Traveling offers perspective. 4. Traveling inspires. 5. Traveling stills your mind. 6. Traveling helps you love family and friends. 7. Traveling strengthens your commitment to Christ. 8. Traveling gives new opportunities to be Christ for others. 9. Traveling is fun. Do you agree or disagree? Please like & comment. Absolutely love this perspective on travel! It's so true that a change of scenery can offer incredible opportunities for spiritual growth and renewal. I’ve always found that stepping out of my routine allows me to connect more deeply with both God and the world around me. The idea of traveling as a way to trust in Him more and to enrich our spiritual journey is powerful. Plus, it’s amazing how new experiences can inspire us and strengthen our relationships, both with loved ones and with Christ. What’s your favorite travel destination that’s helped you grow spiritually or connect more deeply with your faith? Looking forward to hearing your stories and insights!
