Fascinating Drone Application and projects being discussed at the Amsterdam Drone week. The use of a specially adapted Drone (flying while inside a protective 'shield') to determine safety of burned buildings, called 'Flyability Elios 3' is the first indoor mapping and inspection drone. Allowing a drone to fly while inside a protective 'cage' could lead to a number of other rescue/life saving devices. Thoughts?

I've used the UAS online help desk a few times and have been extremely impressed by the speed and efficiency of their responses. Most recently, I contacted them to find out how to assign my Remote ID module to a drone registered with an "N" number. Is the FAA recreational pilot drone test hard? No, not at all. Our youngest daughter took the recreational pilots test at 12 and passed without any prompts. The FAA has 17 separate entities listed on their website, including Tactical Aviation as a company with which to learn about and then take the test. Here is the link: https://lnkd.in/gN_Cu6xV Here are what the FAA rules include: Fly at or below 400 feet Keep your drone within sight Do Not fly in restricted airspace Do Not fly near other aircraft, especially airports Do Not fly over groups of people Do Not fly over stadiums or sporting events Do Not fly near emergency response efforts especially fires DO NOT FLY UNDER THE INFLUENCE These are common sense regulations.
