An MSGCU Giving Back donation was recently presented to the Ann Arbor Police Benevolent Association by our Ann Arbor branch team. Michael Bradley. Marque Lawyers An organisation with just two people (Michael Bradley being one) on the board (apart from Grace Tame) and an advisory panel of just one person (Michael Salter) who also is a member of the board. Why call it an advisory panel when it is just one person - have they ever thought of advisor? Why have it when that ‘advisory panel’ is also a board member? Apparently over 50% of the revenue is spent on legal fees which is not within its stated ‘intentions’ - read the article to pick up the flavour of this. And annual accounts are always lodged late - so find out about FY 23 in May 24??? Maybe UNSW Business School can tell us about this in terms of good governance practise. Maybe Marque Lawyers or UNSW Law can tell us about this in terms of good legal practise.
The Grace Tame Foundation spent nearly half of all donations received during FY23 on paying out legal fees for abuse survivors. And every dollar of that went to someone on the board: https://bit.ly/3QDEykE
