Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union’s Post

Have a safe shopping experience during Amazon Prime Day by looking out for these scams: - Phishing emails and smishing texts. Crooks may send emails or texts that appear to be from Amazon offering special deals or alerting customers about account issues. Never reply, click links, or open attachments in suspicious emails or texts. - Website spoofing. Watch out for websites that mimic Amazon’s look and feel, and advertise deep discounts. These sites are created to steal payment information, like credit or debit card numbers. Google’s Safe Browsing tool can be used to help determine if a website is legitimate. - Fake customer support. Crooks call you about suspicious activity on your Amazon account and pretend to be from the company. Never provide personal information and hang up immediately.
