#multiomicspapers challenge! https://lnkd.in/dwdguNYq Many thanks Vivek Das, PhD, M.Sc. Das, PhD, M.Sc. for sharing this insightful post about SGL2i and diseases! 🔥🔥🔥💡 I am really excited to explore the connection of these type of drugs with lifespan and aging. What is the the potential mechanism behind the effect? Could it be through the regulation of Sirtuins? An exciting example of bridging epigenetic mechanisms. HDACs and gene regulation? #multiomics on 🔥!!! The idea of using aging clocks to monitor these effects is also thought-provoking and adds to the discussion. M. Austin Argentieri Olink Proteomics I look forward to reading more about this topic and hearing your thoughts on this in the comments. #SGLT2i #AntiAging #Epigenetics

DNA methylation plays a crucial role in gene regulation and adaptation in Daphnia magna. A recent study using whole genome bisulfite sequencing revealed that DNA methylation in D. magna predominantly targets 5' exons downstream of transcription start sites. These findings provide insights into the epigenetic mechanisms underlying gene expression and evolution in this model organism. #DaphniaMagna #DNAMethylation #GeneRegulation #Epigenetics #EvolutionaryStudies Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eUxsNT4m BioMedHack.com is your leading source for the latest news, breakthroughs, and insights in medicine, biohacking, and alternative medicine. We continue with Christine Galustian 's exciting article: CAN MUTATIONS GIVE YOU SUPERPOWERS?! Pain Insensitivity Mutations in the positive regulatory domain I-binding factor 1 (PRDM12 gene), Neurotrophic Tyrosine-Kinase receptor (NTRK1 gene), and SCN9A genes cause congenital (inherited at birth) insensitivity to pain (CIP). SCN9A encodes (results in the production of) the protein controlling the voltage-gated sodium channel protein Nav 1.7. and PRDM12 encodes a regulator of sensory neurons, the PR domain zinc finger protein 12: Both proteins are found in pain-sensing nerve cells. The NTRK1 gene codes for a protein that sends pain and temperature signals to the brain. People with CIP don't feel pain and cannot detect high temperatures, which can be both a blessing and a curse. Individuals with this mutation must be vigilant about injuries and other health issues. #superpower #superpowers #painsensitivity #hookelondon #genetics #longevity #sciencecommunication #healthresearch #nervecells #cellmutation #superhuman #mutations
