Protecting intellectual property – patenting and trademarking ideas and inventions – might seem to benefit the few not the many. For Dr. Lateef Mtina, a professor at Howard University Law School, who points out America’s founders encoded it in Article One, Section Eight of the Constitution, IP can aid the collective good.
