Something I’ve been working on intermittently over the past week to demonstrate the art of the possible in workshops—much better than starting with a blank sheet of paper. I'm often talking to clients who use SharePoint lists as a preliminary step to transition from Excel-based registers for tasks such as Asset Management, Contract Communication, or Control Accounts. The main driver for this is because Sharepoint is already paid for and approved by IT. Each client has slightly unique requirements, and I don’t want to spend my time setting up SharePoint lists as part of a proposal. To streamline this, I’ve developed an AI workflow that allows me to complete a form and generate a SharePoint list with comprehensive examples. I can even specify the type of project the examples should be based on. All of this takes around 30 seconds, so I can be in a meeting, quickly input a prompt into a Microsoft form, and then guide the client through potential achievements and discuss features they might want to add or adjust. #SharePoint #AIWorkflow #DigitalTransformation #AssetManagement #ContractCommunication #TechInnovation #MicrosoftForms #ClientSolutions #WorkshopTools #Efficiency

We can easily build flows in Power Automate to extract and manipulate file content from different locations in our SharePoint sites. By incorporating Cloudmersive Document Conversion connector actions into these flows, we can seamlessly perform a wide range of transformative operations on the file content we extract - such as converting that content to PDF. In the quick demonstration video below, we walk through one example Power Automate flow that automatically converts new SharePoint list item attachments to PDF using the "Convert Document to PDF" action. This Document Conversion connector action autodetects the input file format to ensure a high-quality conversion to PDF. It supports all major office formats (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx, etc.), over 100 image formats (.png, .jpg, .webp, etc.), HTML, and more. I am working with my team to improve our document organization using Metadata in SharePoint. Metadata provides descriptive information about your documents. Instead of relying solely on folders, you can tag files with attributes like project name, department, and document type. The steps we are taking today: -Define Metadata Fields: Identify key attributes relevant to your documents (e.g., project, author, date). -Apply Metadata: Tag documents during upload or edit existing files. -Custom Views: Create views based on metadata to display relevant sets of documents. -Train Users: Educate your team on the importance and use of metadata.
