This week is #ShopKind Week - a national campaign coordinated by the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) on behalf of the Home Office - which aims to address abuse and violence against retail workers. Figures from the campaign show that there are approximately 1,300 violent or abusive incidents in the retail sector every day.* By highlighting the impact and scale of this behaviour on staff, the campaign encourages positive behaviour in stores, serving as a reminder to customers to act with kindness and respect. Businesses can get involved in #ShopKind week by sharing the campaign assets and messaging in their shops and on their social media channels, with a range of posters and other materials to download and use.
