Watch Sagar Lonial’s presentation from our latest symposium on the current and future perspectives for bispecific antibodies in #MultipleMyeloma. Key points covered in this presentation include: ▪️ The increasing options for patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma ▪️ The mechanism of action of BsAbs works by binding to CD3 and a plasma cell target ▪️ BsAbs bring T-cells in close proximity to malignant tumor cells, resulting in #myeloma cell death ▪️ Rational targets include BCMA, GPRC5D, and FcRH5 https://loom.ly/P-xfbwg #mmsm

🔎 Join our expert panel as they discuss the current and future perspectives for bispecific antibodies in #MultipleMyeloma. The symposium was led by Sagar Lonial, Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, Atlanta, US. He was joined by guest speakers Naresh Bumma, Amrita Krishnan, and Sergio Giralt; together they explored BCMA-directed and alternative novel strategies using bispecific antibodies and the practical management of adverse events with immunotherapies. The speakers used example clinical cases to emphasize how their findings can be applied to real-world scenarios. A must watch! In this video, Dr. Brian Sworder discusses the objective, methodology, and key results for one of the studies presented at the American Society of Hematology (#ASH) Annual Conference in 2023. The study shows the #utility of our proprietary technology, PhasED-Seq™ #MRD, vs. PET/CT to predict response following #curative intent induction #therapy in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (#DLBCL). #ForesightDx's ultra-sensitive liquid biopsy platform, Foresight CLARITY™ , is powered by PhasED-Seq™. Exciting News! Our latest publication has just been published in Cell Press: STAR Protocols. 🔬 Titled "Protocol for the isolation of tumor cell-derived extracellular vesicles followed by in vivo metastasis assessment in a murine ovarian cancer model," this protocol delves into vital aspects of ovarian cancer research. In this study, we covered critical steps including: - Generating stable cell lines using lentivirus - Isolating tumor cell-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) using ultracentrifugation - Evaluating EVs-specific biomarkers to ascertain EVs enrichment - Creating a preclinical model to assess the role of EVs in cancer progression These methodologies hold immense potential in advancing our understanding of cancer metastasis and paving the way for novel diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. 🤝 We invite you to explore our publication and engage in discussions surrounding these crucial research areas. Let's collaborate for a brighter future in cancer research! Sonam Mittal #Reaerch #CancerResearch #ExtracellularVesicles #MetastasisAssessment #CellPressSTARProtocols #OCRA #MCW

Very pleased to announce this publication from my group, by our highly skilled PGR Jess Parker. We did this in collaboration with Newcastle University FCCF. Treatment resistance remains a clinically unmet need in cancer management. This highlights the need for tractable preclinical models that show improved clinical translatability. Patient derived leukaemia samples are very difficult to culture in vitro. This leads to dependence on cell lines and/or mouse models, which aren’t always the best models to use. Here we develop a proof-of-concept in vitro protocol to co-culture patient derived leukaemia cells on human mesenchymal stem cells. To build confidence in the use of our model, we apply it to detect quiescent and slow cycling/dormant leukaemia cells, which are known to be linked with treatment resistance. https://lnkd.in/dQ92By39

Lung nodules - not an uncommon source of angst amongst doctors & patients as one always wonders if it’s benign or malignant. The article highlights how common it is in Western Europe. I reckon it might be more common in Asia, given the highest prevalence of infections as well as nodule-mimics like granulomas. Something to consider as we advocate for more low-dose CT scans to screen for lung cancer. In the absence of blood tests and other biomarkers, there isn’t much more than can be done besides to watch and wait - if it’s of a small size, CT scans over a period of time help ascertain if further intervention is warranted. https://lnkd.in/g6yneMTa
